Useful little scooterI'm 5ft4 and found the knee rest was abit high even on the lowest setting. Also the shape of the knee cushion was a bit uncomfortable on my shin.
However it's a sturdy little scooter that is alot safer than crutches and has meant I can get out and about while I'm non weight bearing.Posted on

InvaluableAfter rupturing my achillies and needing surgery this has been invaluable to me. This scooter has given me some independence, I returned work even though non weight bearing. If anything I wish it was lighter.

Natty little toolThis knee scooter is amazing on flat even surfaces but unfortunately not very good on uneven surfaces as it is likely to jolt to a halt. Still an amazing tool if using crutches is a no go.

Really helped my independenceGot this because I broke my leg and so glad I did. It’s really helped me get around the house much easier, I highly recommend it.
The brakes are crap, I keep putting them on and am still able to zip around. The cushion isn’t the comfiest but it’s sturdy and literally it’s been night and day since I got it. It’s allowed me to not need my crutches as much and I can do bits and pieces around the house now that I had no chance of on my crutches.Posted on

Don't think about it- just get itI had a foot op and got sent home with crutches and instructions to be non weight bearing for 6 weeks.
I didnt even finish of the following day before I was on here ordering one of these. I would have had a breakdown if I had been stuck in crutches for 6 weeks. I have been able to get out in the garden and leave the house for lunch or pop to see family.
It has been worth every single penny for my own sanity.Posted on

Very well built. The unit is made of welded steel tubing and is very robust. However the problem I had with it is the poor turning circle. There are welded steel stops to prevent you from turning the handle bars more than 45deg. This must be for safety reasons to stop the handle bars from spinning 360 deg. This makes trying to turn in a tight circle or corner very challenging as you need to keep backing up and going forward until you can turn a tight corner. Having said this I suspect that most other manufactures are identical to this model. Going forward on the unit is a piece of cake, however reversing is another matter.
The manufacturer needs to space the stop bars that prevent the front wheel turning beyond a certain point much wider apart. I found the brakes very hard to use in order to engage the brake lock button.Posted on

VFM SUPERB Knee Scooter. Radical alternative to crutches.A SUPERB value for money knee scooter for the active person who has a foot or ankle injury. A radical and "cool" alternative to crutches. I'm a CEng and a serious cyclist. For the money this little baby is great. A proper headset and sealed wheel bearings. Really Good!! Enjoy.

Great idea for improving mobilityGreat idea for improving mobility. I’ve broken my ankle and can not put any weight on my leg for at least 6 weeks so this was a really great solution for getting around the house. Knee rest is a little uncomfortable because it’s a bit hard. So this would be even better if the knee rest was made out of a slightly softer material but I appreciate it does need to be sturdy to be safe so this may not be possible. All in all, I am delighted I made this purchase as it’s enabled me to do much more without having to rely on crutches.

Life saverI broke my ankle and needed surgery. This scooter had really been amazing in helping me have some independence. I have only really used at home but taken out once. It didn't feel too secure when out but mainly as the ground outside wasn't all smooth. The basket is very useful too.
