Unfortunely, due to my hands being malformed due to Rhumatiod Arthritus, I have fouund that thehandle is difficult to grip especially as it was intended for us longish walks and at air shows.
For this reason, I am having to return the as 'unsuitable for use.'
THe item appeas to be solidly constructded and sturdy.

Well made strong quality product..easy to use as a walking aid and sit down safely. This has given my husband his mobility back as he can walk and rest where necessary...he uses to fish along the canals as it allowshim to sit and rest at the right height while he fishes ....the quality of workmanship is excellent...it is also very sturdy and you feel confident in its overall strength and safety

Let me start by saying I did not buy this, but I chose it, and it was bought for my birthday by someone else.
I will pass by the comments of weight, sturdiness etc., and say what I have found while using it. First of all it has to be used on a flat surface, on a hill or slope will not work as it topples over too easily. It is quite stable on cobbles if they are not on a hill or slope. I have not tried it on grass.
I have also found that it is necessary to sit as near to the frame as possible. Ladies, you really need trousers for this, but it may be OK with full skirts.
I have found that because of the way the handle it designed, carrying it with the seat near to me is best for me, but the other way round may be equally suitable for someone else. The two legs which do not reach the ground when it is folded, hardly protrude out of a straight line. For me it appears to be more stable than the conventional folding walking stick I also use.
I am pleased with it.
