Its a storage unit, it keeps an area tidyI bought this with the intention of using it as desk and desk tidy, to close up keeping work and valuables hidden from my home life.
Unfortuanetly, the area within the unit where I could store a 15" laptop was 5mm to narrow (I guess this was designed for a plate?). It measures 11.5" / 29cm.
The hinges holding the gold door when open is not suitable to be leaned on with any pressure what so ever, the joint would give in and break. The door clasp when to hold the flap shut, is more aesthetic than practical.
If you're wanting a wall storage tidy, it does the job, a few subtle changes by the manufacture could open up a bigger market for them.

Expected it to be sturdier for the moneyNot the easiest assemble ever but no issues, and for the money paid I expected something a little more solid. Its perfect for the child it was bought for but I expect she will break it overestimating how much weight the desk will take

Work to assemble, but worthwhileI've just installed this. It came in a lot of pieces and took some time to assemble, but I'm really happy with the end product. It's for a 6 year old, occasional use and looks fantastic in the space.

Perfect for small spaceI just moved into a new flat where space is tight. With this kind of storage unit is exactly what I need: flexible and multiple use. I put it on my wall next to the bed where I put my makeup stuff and close after use. It almost uses no space so I’m Very pleased with it. The slightly concern I have is my personal worry, because it hangs on the wall I always worry it won’t stay so I don’t put heavy stuff on it.
