Missing partsA set on screws was missing so couldn’t be assembled. Had to source screws myself. Planter was very difficult to assemble, definitely a two person job.

Cost-effective parasol weightI have a lovely tilting garden parasol which I have always had trouble with. As long as there was a breeze the parasol would tilt and I was fine. But this has all changed. I bought the sand for about £8 and now the parasol holds up even on very windy days! It's great and way cheaper than other parasols on the market!

Good value for moneyCheaper than the refillable plastic weights. Already had sand in it so this was a cheap option and it looks like it will hold up well to my new 3.0" cantilever umbrella. I think it would be best to keep it in the shade in the winter to avoid damage to the material.

Do a good jobI bought these because they were a lot cheaper than other brands. Yes, they are brown. If you use the clear plugs provided on each lid, they prevent leaks - although one of them still looks like it leaks. They do work, though. I recommend always emptying them in the winter to avoid cracking.

Excellent boothThis is much better than those plastic bases that need to be filled with sand or water. It is made of steel with a black powder coating (paint) and has an extra ring that can be filled with water to add stability if needed! Very well made and the spring legs can be snapped into place or folded up. Very good and would recommend it over the plastic base.

Nice and compact standBought this to put a fishing umbrella in places where a pointy pole wouldn't work. Compact enough to fit in the back of a car. The flange for different diameter poles is a nice touch. I don't think it would work well with a larger parasol, though, unless it needs to be mounted through the center of a table. I haven't used the weight bag so can't comment on it, as the skirt of the stand is nailed or weighted separately.

Will not fit standard parasols.This thing looks solid and well made, but is a little small to fit the pole of my standard parasol. Not worth the hassle of returning it.

Pretty solid, but what the heck is that grey ring.I'm glad I paid the good money for this mount as it is very sturdy and well made. The dimensions were clearly described and it was very easy to set up and fold down. The only problem is I have no idea what the grey ring it comes with is for. I'm guessing it's for securing the bottom branch???

Compact and well made parasol baseThis is exactly what I was looking for. Want to take it with us in our RV. It folds up very compact and not too heavy. Not sure if it will hold our parasol but we will still use the guy cord and hook to secure it. I haven't used it yet but I think it would work great on a sunny day.

Push the plug in!What can I say, fill it with water, put the parasol in, and relax. Make sure to plug it in tightly, otherwise it may leak. Not suitable for large parasols, or when it is windy, but it is suitable for sunny days

Black plastic parasol baseThe base is easy to fill with water and there is a stopper in the pole. The look is nice but not very stylish. I found it quite difficult to fit the parasol into the pole and tighten it. The parasol needs to be pushed as far as it can go and the screws don't tighten very smoothly. The first time I tried it, the parasol was blown over by the wind and it overturned the table.

Do this worklike this base as it is cheaper than a cast iron base and easy to use, I had to cut down the wooden pole on the parasol as it was a bit large, great product just filled with childrens play sand and finished.

A bit too big.Great thing to buy to put under our Jack and Jill loveseat. Too bad it's too big to be as effective as it could be and the parasol doesn't fit right through the hole in the table. This thing is great and we now have it behind the Jack and Jill with the parasol resting on us. Not ideal but this is the only thing we'll have until we can figure out something else. Still, it's a good thing and very sturdy.

The 2.7-meter parasol is not heavy enough and not wide enough. It falls over in the breeze, which is very dangerous.The parasol base is not wide enough to accommodate a 2.7m parasol. It collapses in the slightest breeze, which is dangerous. Probably ok for a small parasol.

Excellent quality and affordable priceThis is a small but very sturdy one to use, but one thing I might point out is that if you have a larger pole, the screws on the bracket won't tighten properly, so it's not very secure. This wasn't a problem for me because the hole in my table fit my pole perfectly, so it tightened very well and gave the pole some extra support. But if you plan on using it freestanding or have a larger hole in your table, it might be a bit of an issue. It won't tighten because the screws are tightened by tightening the teeth around the pole, but if the pole is larger, the teeth won't tighten properly so it won't screw in. It just sits on top of the screw threads. I would recommend this, especially for the price, as it's a good deal, but if you have a larger pole, be aware that you might not be able to tighten it properly. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a freestanding parasol, as it's very light even when filled with sand. Good quality for the price.

Not suitable for open areasI don't think it's strong enough. It doesn't stay stable on top of hills, in strong winds, and in open areas. It's easy to assemble. It's very light and needs to be filled with water or sand. In my opinion, there are better products on the market.

The price is reasonable and the product is easy to use.The product looks good and is easy to stuff for added weight. The only problem is the fastening system of the parasol base. A few bases showed minor damage from over-tightening or too much force. They do serve their intended purpose though.
