Strap to close and open the canopy needs re thinking but is workable!This is a lovely Pergola, we got it because it is higher than some others and we wanted that height above the outside door. The canopy quality is good however, the strap does not clip back properly and needs to be tightened otherwise it blows about alot in the window tied a couple of knots in it and that helped. When its pulled out full the other end it clips into a hole but again too loose so needs something tighter to hold it closedown as again flaps about. The construction is fairly solid but the instructions are not great to be honest and hubby had to work things out himself, good job he can as can be tricky. You definitely need at least two people if not three to move the pergola into position and also when constructing. All in all though this is a lovely pergola and we are pleased with it! It looks lovely and we are awaiting new furniture to go under it.

Very impressedWas surprised by how easy it was to assemble. Took my husband 3 hours of which he done most on his own. Looks great in the garden, we've yet to see how to copes in the rain but so far so good

Great Value For MoneyArrived quickly and well packaged. A lot of parts in the box but each part (and fixings) labelled which makes putting the components together very easy although time consuming (give yourself two hours). Fitting/erection instructions are, in the main, easy to follow but I suggest you also watch the video which helps clarify anything in the instructions which is unclear. Erecting the structure and securing the base plates will take another two hours approximately. Two people required and ideally a third initially when erecting the frame.
Well made framing and fittings and machining is very good with only a couple of screws very slightly out but easily resolved.
Once erected the pergola looks great and appears sturdy and robust although I recommend the cover is closed when not in use.
Altogether I think this is great value for money and I don’t think you will be disappointed.Posted on

Can't build this on your own for less.Took a while to assemble, the directions are a bit minimal but easy enough to follow. The post come in two pieces so don't be too surprised when you receive a box smaller than you might expect. Preassembly only takes one person. Setting the top on the post is better with two.
I anchored the pergola to concrete. It has already stood up to 30 plus mph winds without issue.
The top slides easy and clips in place when in use. Straps in place when retracted. The shade cloth is very thin. I can see replacing this after a season.
For the price you shouldn't hesitate to purchase this if you are even remotely thinking about one.Posted on

CoolIt was easy to assemble as per the instructions, I used a tall 2 x4 as a stand and assembled it myself with a small ladder, after bolting it to the concrete floor it is sturdy and beautiful. Looks very nice too.

Great Pergola for the priceNice sturdy Pergola, took a couple hours to assemble and instructions were easy enough to follow. Only one negative comment to be made. The retractable roof does not have any drain holes or a cover when it is in the closed position so when rain water gathers and has nowhere to go, when you open the roof again all that water falls out the sides potentially soaking you if you’re not ready for it. Yes I found this out the hard/wet way! But apart from that I’m very happy with it.

More good looking than functionalLooks modern and appealing, very sturdy. The roof cover collects water and a bit of wind will blow it upwards tipping all the collected water over the sides - beware. Shame the are no matching side curtains.

Looks so goodJust put the pergola up and it look amazing. Delivery was prompt and the deliveryman kindly put it in the garage for me. It took my husband and myself a day to put up. The instructions are a little vague but ok if you're used to putting flatpack together. It seems pretty stable but we're going to put some braces across to the house anyway so it definitely won't be going anywhere. Can't wait to hang some light on it!

Fantastic.Really great pergola. I put it together by myself except for the few times I needed helpers to hold things. Seems sturdy and looks great. The instructions are A$$. The four main square pieces have to go on the INSIDE of all four posts. They could have done a better job detailing this and other crucial steps. Otherwise I love it.
