Great umbrellaWhen my umbrella arrived, it was packed well and was everything that I expected. The solar light easily attached to the top of the umbrella and light up immediately. I love the scalloped design with the white trim. It covers my table well and gives my patio a contemporary feel and look. I would recommend purchasing one. I wish it came in striped colors.

Woodgrain painted metal - not wood; generally a good umbrellaI should have looked more closely, this is not wood grain. It is wood grain colored metal. It looks no different than the others, just $20 more expensive. I'm still giving it 4 stars because basically these umbrellas are OK for the price, but be careful. This is not a wood frame. It is painted metal.

The big umbrella and additional tariffs were later addedI love this umbrella! It goes up and down very smoothly and the color is beautiful. It has Velcro to keep it secure when the wind is strong. The only downside is that FedEx charged an additional $9.60 in customs duties after delivery to my door. costway does not tell you this.

Pretty umbrellas and lights added to the beauty.I bought this product for the light and the price. It's awesome, the light creates a nice ambiance without being too bright, perfect for sitting by the pool at night. I bought another one to put in the pool water drop, it blocks out the light. When I'm swimming, I angle it towards the sun so it's not blinding me anymore.

Works great, just don't forget to turn it off in a rainstormhave four of these lights on my patio and they look great and work great. However, the one I bought a few years ago broke. Probably because I left it out on a windy day. Basically one of the top struts broke - I used it for about six months before it broke a little more and I threw it away. To be honest, I still think it was worth the money as it lasted for several years. I recently bought a few more because they look so great and I will try to remember to tie them down when I'm done with them!

Well made, beautiful and carefully packaged!The 'Sea Glass' green is a lovely green - just as I expected - and looks much richer than a dark green. The fabric is of great quality and the pole and operating handle are sturdy and durable. The umbrella was very easy to assemble - it took about 5 minutes to put together. The 9 foot umbrella is just the right size for a round table for 6. We are very happy with our purchase.

Gain a solid foundationNice umbrella, good coverage. Just need a sturdy heavy base. Twice it was blown over in moderate winds. The second time it hit the patio railing it dented the pole above the crank and now the pole is tilted 5-10 degrees. Still usable, but a bit of a pain at the same time.

Overall BVery nice umbrella, good quality, and will withstand a storm. Can break easily if not folded up in winds over 20 mph. The metal will turn yellow or brown if not aired regularly. Other than that, a good investment. Very minimal to average fading.

Beautiful umbrellaThis umbrella is a little lighter than my other 10 foot umbrella. But it is 9 foot so I thought it should be lighter. It provides good shade and the light works well. I recommend using a hold down bar to hold down the base of the umbrella. I used 50 lb velcro sandbags that you can buy on costway. Use 2 sandbags, one on each side so the base of the umbrella is stable and sturdy.

success!It was very easy to assemble, 5.3 lbs 118 lbs...including the base, and it took only 15 minutes! My one mistake was not removing the plastic wrapping from the umbrella before assembling it...had to ask my husband to help...

Premium umbrella; cost undisclosedWe have been using this 8 foot umbrella for over a month now. The slightly smaller size is perfect for our patio, the crank and tilt feature works smoothly, and the beautiful navy fabric is water resistant and has held up well to the elements in the recent weekend rain. It really works great. However, we unexpectedly received an invoice from FedEx for duties and handling. We were not aware that this product was shipped from Canada and that new duties would be charged. Other than that, we recommend this product.

Great materialI've been using this umbrella for two years and I love it! It's a natural color and it protects against the sun, so I don't feel too hot when I use it. It's lightweight and made of great material. We wrap it up and leave it outside in the summer when we're not using it, and it's still in great condition when we eat.

Easy to use and long lasting!Great umbrella! The handle makes it easy to open and close. We've had one (tan) for 2 years now and it hasn't faded at all. We just ordered another one for another spot in our yard. Our previous one had a latch that went into the hole instead of a handle, and I'm too short to open and close it without standing on a chair - so we love this one!

So far, so goodIt looks so pretty with the picnic table. It would have been nice if the picnic table hadn't been damaged, but life happens. The picnic table is a little small, but the umbrella we hadn't opened yet, however, fit perfectly inside the picnic table.

Very high quality, unique.I have purchased many umbrellas over the years and have never received one of this quality. Ever. This umbrella is so well made! The fabric is beyond what you would expect from an outdoor umbrella. It is nice, thick, waterproof, and of very good quality. The crank mechanism is very sturdy and durable. Hopefully this umbrella is still in stock because I am already considering buying a few more. This is an amazing umbrella! You will be pleasantly surprised and very satisfied!

The price is not badlike this umbrella, it's bigger than my previous one and gives me decent coverage. It's a little hard to hold up though and I'm worried the cord will break. I like that there's a pin on the umbrella to hold the cord in place so it's not constantly stretched.

qualityWe needed a large umbrella for our backyard and this one is great. The 15 foot size provides great shade and completely covered our table for 6. Assembly was easier than expected. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and all the parts snapped into place. The base is heavy enough to not tip over even when it's windy. After a few weeks of use the fabric still looks great and the frame is rust free. Great value for money.

Just a great patio awningGreat outdoor sunshade with a nice canopy. Easy to assemble with no extra tools required. I bought two 60 lb bags of sand and attached them to the bags. I also made a wooden box to cover the sandbag base so the sandbags wouldn't get damaged by weather and people's feet. Really great sunshade.

Perfect for my patio!This umbrella is amazing! The pole is light and strong, and the cover is colorful. I chose an off-white one so that it matches the color of my pillow without worrying about the colors not matching. It is well fixed with Velcro straps and will not be blown over by the wind. Excellent workmanshipI'm replacing my old umbrella and have been having a hard time finding something with thicker fabric. This one has thick fabric; I like the sun protection, and the shaft, crank, and ribs are all very good quality. The only thing that's a little weird is that the crank is pretty high up on the shaft, so it's a little cumbersome to reach under the canopy to crank it, but luckily I don't need to lower and raise the umbrella very often.

Good value for money, great tiltThe cream leans on easily and the color is true to life. Unsure about durability since we only use it outdoors. I thought a darker color would block out more sunlight, but the cream blocks out enough so the sun is not harsh on the porch.

Respond to sellersThe umbrella is beautiful and seems to be of good quality. The seller was very responsive to shipping delays. My only issue is that I received a bill from FedEx, which I guess was part of the tariff dispute. When I ordered, it was not clear to me that the item was shipped from Canada or if I would be responsible for any import related fees. It would be better if the seller explained this clearly before purchase. Edited to add that the seller has agreed to refund the tariff. Updated my review and gave 5 stars.

goodI wouldn't say these are the best patio umbrellas I've ever bought, but they do the job. I think the material is a little cheap, but they look good. I ordered three. costway delivered one to my door. The other two were abandoned half a mile away. Luckily a neighbor who knew me saw them on the side of the road and called me. I had to drive to get them.

Two years and two months, year-round, rain or shine, still going strong…bought this umbrella two years, two months, and nine days ago and it is still in great shape. If I wanted to take better care of it, I would put it away in the winter, but I like the snow protection since I use my patio and grill year round. Of course, umbrellas naturally fade, we get over 100 degrees in the summer and below freezing in the winter, and the snow is deep, sometimes over a foot (in these cases, I put the umbrella down and knock the snow off). There are some small wrinkled-looking spots on the underside of the umbrella (not really wrinkled), maybe an inch or two long and 1/8 inch wide or less, and it is just worn thinner in a few places. This is because I use it a lot. The way I treat it, I may want to buy one again next year or the year after. If I put it away in the winter, or cover it when not in use, it will last at least twice as long. When the wind is strong, I realize it and put it down, but it has at least survived the 20 mph wind. Of course, it is wise to put it down and cover it even if you don't plan to use it. But sometimes I put things on the table under the umbrella because I know it will protect them. So I rarely put it down. If the snow is really deep, I will put it down and beat it off. Any more than 3 inches of snow and I'll probably just beat it off. I recommend it because it's affordable. I did buy a second one for another less-used area of the yard so I get to put it down more often. But I also took into account the sun fading issue and if I want it to fade evenly, it's better to put it up... or put it down and cover it. If it's down instead of covered, I expect it to get streaks over time from uneven sun fading, which is obvious but people always ignore it and then complain (entirely their fault). There's a novel idea to put it down and cover it, but I don't do that so it doesn't hold up 99% of the time. Of course, putting it down and covering it will extend its life further. All the mechanisms are well made, the pole is sturdy and can be tilted; it's not some shoddy pole or device. You can count on it. I like both colors I bought (they can't see each other, although they complement each other). You need an umbrella stand… I have a neighbor who doesn’t seem to understand this concept, and twice, after a bit of wind, I pulled her umbrella off the street because she always had it up without a stand. It was basically a sail. A good umbrella is worth the money. Buy a good one. You can’t skimp on it. What matters is how you attach it to the stand. If I didn’t have one of those stands (a good old-fashioned piece of steel with a post for the pole to attach to, and bolts with wing nuts to hold the pole in place), I’d use a heavy-duty stand, but I’d drill holes in the stand (apparently not all stands have holes for this) and drive screws or bolts in on both sides so the umbrella doesn’t fly off. I’ve seen people put their umbrellas on stands but not really hold the two together by screwing the bolts on the receiving post and the pole together and then tightening them to prevent the bolts from falling out, and then they wondered why their umbrellas flew off. The stand can’t hold the umbrella down unless you lock the two together. Hence the need for bolts or screws. I know, this should go without saying, but then again…we’ve all seen the complainers who don’t get it. In theory, anything wider than the hole in the table can be used (if that’s your application), and you put something there that can be securely locked to the base of the post should be enough to keep it from blowing away, even if it’s lightweight, as long as it doesn’t fall off, doesn’t fly off, and doesn’t get hard enough to break the glass tabletop in a strong wind. It’s better to use a fairly flat (1/4”-1/2”) round solid steel umbrella base with a flange. It’s heavy enough that one can tilt the umbrella stand and roll it on edge to reposition it, and there’s no bulky, sand- or water-filled base to interfere with the position of your feet when you stretch your legs. Also, those bulky plastic umbrellas seem to crack and break easily. As long as these umbrellas stay affordable, I’ll continue to recommend them, and will definitely buy them as gifts, or to put more in my large yard. I like having different places to hang out.
