Absolute life saver in this heat, makes the room nice and cool within minutes. Easy to use app and remote. You can control the A/C unit in the app from anywhere in the world with is perfect if you want a nice cool room to come home to! And the best bit.... its sooo cheap to run! Doesn't gizzle eletric like I thought it would. It is a little Loud when on full power but nothing to dramatic, my only problem is the exughst tube is a little short, I have high windows and the tube is about a meter too short, easily fixed by buying and extender but for the price the manufacturer should really look into this. Its also a little heavy but it's an A/C unit so what do you expect. Other than that it's honestly amazing.

This is lovely. We haven’t had it on for any length of time but we have tried it out. It’s not noisy at all so really pleased.

Used for conservatory cooling. I had hoped to to put the exhaust hose through a roof vent and had seen a product question which indicated 3m lengh but it is 2m and with bends it needs to be close to a window. My windows are top hung and .and not in a suitable place. I ended up putting it through a part open patio door which is not convenient. It does work well and it is not noisy. I haven't tried it or heating or dehumidifying. I chose it for being powerful for cooling.

Quieter than expected, nice finish, and powerful.

Not an actual review. Just wanted to clarify an issue with Mentor's review regarding R290 being dangerous and banned in America. R290 is actually being accepted in america and used in stores and homes in america, they use it in fridges and freezers. R290 is safer, more energy efficient and less damaging to the ozone. Most companies in America are switching from HFCs (the thing that caused the most damage to the Ozone layer) and are using R290. The actual ban is for using r290 in a Central Residential or Central Commercial Air Conditioning Systems. It is only legal to use in fridge and freezers. Meaning his complaint about it being used in a AC unit in the EU because it could explode and its illegal to use in America is ridiculous when its in most of the fridges and freezers in America. Pretty sure they can blow up too given the heat in the desert parts of America but they don't. R290 is also safe to be released into the atmosphere. The reason it's safe in units like a fridge/freezer/portable AC unit is the pipes that contain it are sealed and the pipework is contained inside.
It's not used in a buildings AC unit in America due to the the fact that most split system air conditioners (with an indoor and an outdoor unit) use flared compression style connections for the interconnecting pipework between the indoor and outdoor. This style of connection is more prone to leaks. Even without the possibility of leaking flared connections, just having pipework running between an indoor and outdoor unit increases the risk of physical damage to the pipework and a refrigerant leak ensuing. Hence what makes it illegal as an AC refrigerant in America. Their AC system is built into the building and has pipes running out of it between an indoor and outdoor unit so its not contained inside a single unit resulting in leaks making it unsafe.
Please don't be discouraged into buying an AC unit due to R290 propane refrigerant. It's used in fridges, freezers around the world. And in portable AC units in the EU (sadly although portable AC units can be purchased in America for example at Best Buy they don't specify what refrigerant they use).
Yes it's flammable but its sealed inside pipes and the pipes are protected by the casing around them which make them safe in stand alone units. The issues only arise when you link multiple units together and the pipe connections between the units are weak points. Which is why R290 isn't used when linking an indoor and outdoor unit together with the pipes containing the refrigerant running between them since the connection will eventually fail.

No one should expect it to be as quiet as a wall-mounted air conditioner. But it was the best choice for me. It is not worth buying cheaper because I think it is important for everyone to be reliable. I recommend this to others

Well to say surprised is an understatement it turned up three days early. I have had 4 portable air conditioners. 1 broke after 2 years 1used downstairs and a 9000btu as back up. Got this one and wow it is a quality product and it's so quite., foa a 1200btu it's also one of the coldest. For the money don't look anywhere else. Well as direct appliances and other outlets have just hacked the prices right up due to the heatwave. Very cool happy customer.

My garage is very hot and this makes the air feel fresh and cool when I turn it on.

Refrigeration is fast! Especially as it is very hot here in my house, this cools down very quickly and makes it very comfortable.

Really happy with this. Yes it’s A little loud but no louder than other portable units. Easy to set up and seal the window etc… blows out a really nice cold air and cooled our bedroom (3 metres by 4.5 metres) in about 15 minutes. The air feels nice and cool and dry. Walking back out of the room it feels like stepping off a plane on holiday! Well worth the money for the quality of sleep we’ll now get (dogs included). One of our dogs is quite nervous and doesn’t seem phased by the size and / or noise at all.

I have some issues with the Delivery and the product. I emailed the seller and they replied quickly and sort out the problem. So far with this heatwave, the aircon has serve it purpose. It cool down the temp in the lounge . The noise is bearable compare to the one I bought in a walk in shop ( a different brand). The only downsize is the remote control. When you try to change the speed of the fan , it changes the temperature instead. It very heavy but thanks to the wheels it easy to move . It’ a good buy .

For the money this is a very good aircon that does exactly what it it’s supposed to do. The noise level is the only issue but you get used it it, cools the room down in no time, not tired the heater side of it but I would definitely recommend it

The unit is more compact and neater than my previous my previous 12,000 btu unit, but is equally efficient at cooling quite a large bedroom. The vent tube is quite a large diameter and needs to be routed outside the room. There is a a flexible sealing strip supplied for a window, but I couldn't see how it could be used. There is also a telescopic metal strip that should work ok. I have a hole through the wall into an outside void. The controls and remote are very easy to understand.

It can deliver acceptable cooling and heating to a degree that cannot be disputed but is not amazing.

Current heat at home would have been unbearable with this air con. When started it quickly reduces the temperature in a room. It is a little noisy, but I suppose no noisier then a fan. More than please with my purchase.

This product is brilliant it blows out ice cold air and in my apartment where I live in my lounge I have 2 large romeo & Juliet windows. I get the sun from sun rise to 5ish and it gets extremely hot. I have brought various fans but to no avail. A friend suggested an air conditioner. I know nothing about air conditioners so just in the end hoped i had picked the right one
