Best Climbing Dome EverWhen I tell you it is frustrating to assemble, I mean it. I highly recommend two people to assemble it. One person can definitely do it, but you will find yourself holding 5-6 bars while doing yoga poses. Be forewarned - make sure counter-clockwise is not when looking from the inside. The instructions say to assemble the bars counter-clockwise at a certain point, and that is when looking from the outside. If not, you will find yourself having to take it apart again when you are done because the black handles will not fit unless assembled correctly. Also, be careful when taking any part apart while the rest is still attached because it is a pain to pull 5-6 bars back together. Overall, this is a large set. I assembled it in the garage and the kids helped me carry it to the backyard. It was perfect for them. I was worried it would be too small, but the kids (ages 6, 9, 9, 10) will be able to use it for years to come. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the parts instructions are clear, but there are no spare screws/washers/nuts in case something goes wrong or something bends, and the instructions don't clearly state to assemble from the outside counterclockwise, not from the inside. This is a 5 star product. I'm 5'3" and I had to reach the top armrest, and I was able to lift it up on my own without it bending. It says up to 1000 lbs, so I guess that's not bad, haha.

Wide age rangeAll kids aged 6 to 22 loved it - although it takes more than one person to assemble and carry. But once it's assembled, it's easy to set up as a swing or hammock. It's not too heavy, and you don't have to worry about finding a place to put it.

Comments 6 months after purchaseIt was fairly easy to assemble and my two kids have been using it for over 6 months and they feel great. The crayons have not faded or rusted at all and I would buy it again. I recommend it to friends with kids, it is easy to move around the yard for mowing and the price is very fair!

Backyard Climbing Dome - Quality product for outdoor useThis product is very sturdy and heavy, and it takes some time to assemble. Be sure to follow the instructions closely, and the pictures are a good supplement as the text instructions are a bit vague. It is recommended to have at least two people assist. Best for children aged 4-5 years and above. The center net is difficult to tighten, but for the backyard, it is worth it.

Cool jungle gymBoth of my kids loved this climbing dome. It took several days to put it together and I highly recommend two people to do it together as you need more than two people to hold the bars together. The bars are super sturdy and the hammock is great quality. It's easy to move around the yard. So far so good!

Sprinkler cloggedAssembly took about 2 hours. Used the sprinkler 3 times a day for the past 6 months with no rust. Looks like a great product. It takes two people to hold the rod in place to get the bolts in.

The description is wrong, better description is neededThe instructions could have been better. And the little instructions it did provide, were a little wrong. It showed a yellow bar, when it should have been green. Still, the results were pretty good.

Fun for five year oldsI bought this for my grandchildren. My 5 year old loves it but my 7 year old thinks it is too small. I didn't bother putting up the swing because there wasn't enough room for them. My husband and I put it up easily. The kids can easily lift it up themselves so it needs to be anchored when the wind is strong.

Sturdy and good quality... a little tricky to assemble.highly recommend this product, but I wouldn't recommend trying to assemble it alone. The assembly process, while not complicated, is fiddly and requires at least three hands. I used spring clips to hold the pieces together, and my wife helped hold other pieces together until I was almost done. No special tools are required, and they even give you some Allen wrenches and white gloves (not sure why). The assembly process takes about 2 hours, but it would go much faster if you have someone to help you at the beginning. Our 3-year-old daughter loved it once she learned to climb it. She may be too young to use it to its full potential, but she's learning quickly. Also, the assembled box is heavy, and it's a little cumbersome to move once it's assembled. I weigh about 150 pounds, and I climbed up and down without worrying about it moving or falling over, so it's a good fit for multiple kids.

Great dome!Absolutely love this dome! I've been looking for the right one (right price, quality, and weight limit) for a few years, and when I found this, I knew it was the one. A lot of reviews say it takes hours to set up - and it's true (3-4 hours for one person, 1-3 hours for two), but it's very sturdy and worth the money. We're very happy with it. It can accommodate all kids from 1-6 at once, and we love the height-adjustable swing. Even a 1 year old can swing!

The kids loved it!The only reason it's missing a star is because you need three people to put it together. One person to hold the bar, one to screw the screws, and one to hold the washers in place and make sure it's tight. Still trying to get the swing to the right level

Overall it is worth buying.Awesome! We love this one so much! It was super easy to put together. The kids love climbing and swinging on it! We live in the Midwest and it gets pretty windy, but it didn't move at all, didn't even get lifted, and was easy to move around the yard to mow the grass. It's big enough for a lot of kids to play on comfortably, and it's durable. We've had two adults and four kids take photos on it and never even worry about it toppling over. For the price we paid, it was a really good purchase.

My kids loved this.It was very difficult and time consuming to assemble. It took my husband and I a day and a half to put it together because it was so hard to attach several poles at once and get screws and washers into a small hole. It was fun and we could swing on it, so I think it was worth it.

The kids loved itIt's easiest to assemble with three hands. I could assemble it myself but it took me twice as long as it would have if I had someone help. You're basically trying to hold three to five rods in place while you thread bolts through and then add nuts to the assembly. I'm fairly mechanically interested so I know how to hold things in place as you add more items to the assembly. But with this method I had to keep the bolts loose until they were all fully assembled and then tighten them again. This toy was given to my 3 year old for his birthday and he's a little too nervous to play with it. He checked it out but would rather play with other yard toys that aren't as scary. The toy isn't too tall for him to fall on the lawn and get seriously hurt, but he's not willing to take that risk. Maybe he'll like it more when he's older.

Best grandma gift ever!This is the second climbing dome I have purchased. The two I purchased are identical. The first was purchased for a group of grandchildren who live in Boise, Idaho, and have played on it almost every day for the past year and a half. It is very sturdy and I have climbed on it myself. It takes two adults to move it around the yard, but it is not difficult. (One sturdy adult can do it if necessary.) Despite almost constant use, the dome looks like new, none of the joints are loose, and the surface has held up well in all weather conditions. My daughter assembled it herself because she didn't want to wait for her husband to get home. She is in her 30s, of medium build, and very motivated. It took her about three hours. She said it would be difficult to do alone and recommended at least two people to do it. The manufacturer also recommended two people to do it. The second one was ordered for my grandchildren in Olympia, Washington. The first one was so beautiful and has been preserved so well that when considering what special gift to get another grandchild, this one was the obvious choice. I happened to be there when it arrived and had the pleasure of watching the assembly process. It was originally intended as a Christmas present, but since it was in a large box by the door, it was too big for Grandma to hide, so we decided to put it up right away. It took two adults to put it together this time, and I was honestly impressed that my daughter was able to do it on her own. If you can put it together on your own, you definitely need help. The assembled dome was a huge hit with the grandchildren and their cousins, who ranged in age from 2 to 11. We were all impressed with how sturdy the dome was, and it made a beautiful addition to the yard. Everyone who has seen my dome has been amazed by it, and it is a great way to get the kids out in the yard and away from the TV. I found out that my grandson's Waldorf school also bought an identical dome for their playground. Yes, it is that great. I wholeheartedly recommend this climbing dome to anyone who wants to bring their children to play.

The kids and dad loved itThe outer box is in a tattered state, but that is not a rating for the product (unlike many reviewers these days). Five stars because it was easy to set up and the kids really enjoyed its practicality. The instructions were easy to understand at first; but the further you go, the harder it is to make sense of the pictures - but the colorful pictures on the box helped a lot. Now, even on cold, wet days, the kids go outside and play in what they call the "spider web". Sometimes they tie the sheet up with handles and rubber bands to turn it into a picnic spot; other times, they climb on it for exercise. The product is very sturdy and the powder coating is pretty good. It should last for years. Time will tell if the kids will still like it, but I can tell you that I have never seen anything like it in the yard near our house; nor have I seen it at the two community playgrounds near us. This provides a nice "change of pace" for local friends, both boys and girls. It's great to see them using their imaginations outdoors again. Dad also found the V-shaped horizontal bar to be very sturdy for pull-ups (or L-sits if you are tall) and the parallel bars, which are great for outdoor exercise. The top bar is also wide enough to do regular pull-ups (with your hands pronated), but don’t do push-ups because you might hit your head. The first level of bars is good for simple angled push-ups and horizontal rows if you can’t do pull-ups and dips yet. You can hang upside down from it to work on your abs if your legs are good enough or if you wrap a towel or short swim line around the top bar. Or you can do knee raises after doing pull-ups indoors. Add a $10 speed rope or other gymnastics equipment to the circuit training cardio and you have a fast and intense workout! You can also use it for flexibility training if you want. The only downside is also a plus – it’s bulky and takes up a lot of yard space for mowing. It’s not too heavy for two young adults to carry. It would be nice to have a mower big enough that our family of four could sit on or under it depending on the use at the time, though. The lowest bar height might be a bit high for a shorter 5-year-old.
