Patience required....I'm pleased with the quality of the shoe rack. It's simply and attractively designed and all the parts are well finished. Considering its' slimline design it provides a lot of storage space for shoes and could easily be used for other light household items as well. So far so good.
However, when it came to assembling the unit things got a bit tricky..... Looking at the design you'd think it would be simple and the instruction booklet does make it look easy. However, I found attaching the first support to the shelves (as shown in the diagram) to be frustrating and time consuming.
Part of the problem is the way the supports are attached to the shelves They're off centre so that the weight of the shelves isn't evenly distributed and they tend to flip over like dominoes. I tried using a variety of props between the shelves to keep them upright but nothing really worked. It was a tiresome and frustrating process.
I eventually worked out a way of attaching both supports to the shelves at the same time while keeping them raised above the floor. Once I got past this step the rest of the assembly was easy. Overall this wasn't the most enjoyable piece of flat pack furniture I've had to assemble but the finished rack looks good. I'd suggest, if possible, getting someone to help you put it together. If you have to put it together yourself you'll need a lot of patience unless you're a flat pack supremo!Posted on

AmazingWas looking for long time for slim and spacious shoe rack. Lack of space and narrow corridor wouldn’t let me put modem and big storage. I found this perfect rack by accident- decided to check Amazon. Everything about this purchase is just perfect- looks as a picture, easy assembled, lightweight and sturdy. Very stylish and spacious. And the price!!! Honestly I’m amazed. My friends were impressed. Thinking of buying second (on the top). Highly recommend!

Best Backdoor shoe towerFirst and foremost, it arrived disassembled. And it's all tastefully packed. All of the components were carefully wrapped between big styrofoam pieces. The tower is so simple to put together had already completed the assembly before my husband arrived home to help.
My shoes, our kid’s shoes and my husband's size 11 shoes are all safely stored in the tower. I particularly like how there are a handful of cubby holes that are "normal size" and a couple that are larger than the others, allowing larger boots or even store items or belongings that need to go in the garage.Posted on

A great compact shoe storeThis is a great product if you are looking for a slimline solution for storing shoes. I had to drill an extra hole when assembling the unit as there was one drill hole missing and it needed this for the extra stability. It does feel pretty sturdy once built and it was a little fiddly to assemble alone but not difficult. I have been using this for a couple of months now and the only thing that i have noticed against it is that any shoes over a size 8 don't fit in the compartments so stick out which is a little disappointing but other than that, i am happy with the product.
