Not very good ice maker all round!Firstly, how is this self cleaning? If it is, the instructions are so useless that you can't understand how to do that or much of anything else. I need to take off the front water bar to clean it as it's become blocked and spraying all over the place so I have used foil to keep water from getting out. All in all not great.

Proper Ice for drinksMost of the ice machines make "bullet" ice which is thimble shaped and hollow in the centre. This means that the ice is only a couple on millimetres thick and melts really quickly. This machines makes proper ice takes a little longer but is worth it, ice that last as long as the drink.

Does make ice.Bought this to replace a smaller one. Timer function was appealing but is useless, can't be set daily, needs to be pressed each time. Makes nice square cubes unlike a lot which make hollow round ones that melt fast but.... most of the time they come out in one big lump like a chocolate bar. All that aside, it does make a good amount of ice and isn't overly loud for one of these things.
