Double/King Size Bed Frame with Retro Headboard and Under-Bed Storage Space

My initial concerns about this bed frame stemmed from scattered reviews (as well as numerous reviews of several other competing bed frames) about the mattress support beams falling over, but this wasn't the case—they felt sturdy and took some effort to snap into place. After removing everything from the box, it took me about 30-45 minutes to assemble. The instructions are light on text, but the pictures are easy to follow, and all the parts are labeled. This is my first time using this bed frame, and so far, it's been noiseless and feels very stable. I bought a 10-inch mattress for this bed frame, and the weight of the mattress seems to make it slide less, but there's still a little slippage if you push the mattress to make the bed. I noticed a few people complained about the headboard height (saying it was too short), but I found it to be a perfect size for a 10-inch mattress—though it does sit a bit above the mattress, so if you push on the ends for some reason, it can slip under the headboard. Pros: - Easy to assemble - Sturdy - Support beams (in my case) stayed in place and didn't fall over - 10" mattress stayed relatively stable - No noise (time will tell) - No box spring required due to support beams Cons: - The box is very heavy and at 5' tall I had to have help to lug it in - If you use a lighter mattress you might experience some sliding around - Some pieces take a bit of effort to get into place. In my case the two metal beams connecting the headboard to the footboard took a bit of effort to push into place (my advice if you find yourself in this situation is to place the headboard against a wall and sit facing the footboard, align the metal pieces so they can slide into place, then pull on the metal pieces connected to the footboard until they slide into place) - If you have to force the pieces together the black paint/coating will peel off relatively easily but the dark grey color underneath is less noticeable.

Pros ✓ Affordable price ✓ Modern and stylish design, durable and high-quality materials. I like that it is made of metal except for the part of the headboard/footboard which is engineered wood because metal is not easy to damage. ✓ Detailed and well-labeled instructions, easy to read and easy to assemble, took me about 3 hours to assemble. You will need help to connect the headboard/footboard/guardrails. ✓ No squeaking or noise when moving or getting out of bed. Cons: ⚠️ Be careful and watch out for the metal bars in the middle of the two sides of the bed, it can hurt your toes

It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. It's very simple. It's very sturdy. It looks pretty good too. It might not be something a married woman would want in her bedroom, but for a single guy like me, it's perfect.
