Super convenientReally easy to put up and work with. My kid uses it as an art table, but it is big enough for me to sit and join him, however all of his art supplies fit nicely in there.

Good quality, easy set upThis is our third desk like this that we have set up. This one was quick and easy to assemble as I’ve already built two of them. The directions were decent enough to understand however they could’ve provided or recommended a height from the bottom of the unit to the floor to ensure a nice level desk.

warped wood and the instruction are just pictogramsUnfortunately the wood is warped and was ridiculously difficult to put together with the pictograms and no actual instructions. We had to redo the hinges and a few of the screws multiple times. Eventually it was put up, but it's not sturdy on the wall (even with stronger toggle mounts) and will be adding a secondary mount to help.

Falls apart easyWas great for 4 months until my 7 year old was doing his homework and suddenly it fell off the wall and slammed to the ground breaking the hinges and scratching my wood floors. We installed to the stud. Just cheap material. Before it fell I had started noticing the bottom corner screws were coming loose and tried to screw them back in but the hole was stripped so they wouldn’t stay. Great design concept just bad materials.

Beautiful addition to my room!So I’m in love with this desk! I just finished drawing on the chalk board and I’m so happy! I didn’t give 5 stars just because as other reviewers have said some of the hardware is extremely cheap (pretty much tin foil lol) but I bought some extra hardware in preparation for this! It’s stunning! Definitely a happy customer!

Horrible InstructionsInstructions are terrible. It’s just shows you the pieces and how you’re supposed to put them together. No written instructions. It was ok until I got to the hinges. They were too small to see which direction they should be going on the graph. Overall, ok product. It works for my daughters space.

Very efficientLooks GREAT, very efficient, does the job and is a cool party trick for visitors. People love the way it looks and the whole concept of it. The instructions could’ve been way better but hey… it got assembled lol. Definitely helps if the person assembling is very visual because I’m sure the instructions were just pictures. I also think the hook part of the item could’ve been tougher, as it is a bit easy to bend which makes me worry about the durability of just that one part. BUT overall I think this is a fantastic purchase for the price and that the less ideal aspects were very small in comparison to what it has added to the space. Did I mention that it looks great?

Perfect!!!!!I love this desk. Took my boyfriend a couple of hours to install it. I enjoy that I can fold it up and away when not in use. The chalkboard is an added perk. It fits into a small space perfectly. I recommend this desk.

Didn't work out well for meThe idea is great, it looks great (or it did), but definitely didn't work out how I imagined it would....
I've got it mounted on the wall all ready to be used as a workspace for my son but the very first time he used it the tiny little screws connectimg the wall mount to the desk stripped out. Now we've got a wall shelf instead of a wall mounted folding desk because I'm not about to take the whole thing apart again box it up and return it. Maybe it was a fluke but to me, it was a waste of money and not even worth the trouble to try and return it unfortunately.Posted on

Love the function, hated the assemblyFirstly, putting the top shelving unit together was a breeze. I've done many so that part was easy. Every piece & bags of screws, etc. was clearly labeled. The hair pulling, loose your sanity and frustrating part was assembling the desktop and leg. You will need to turn it on its side snd have a 3/4 thick support to put under the desk part when attaching the two together. The desktop is narrower than the support leg as it fits inside the shelving unit. I did everything myself except mount on the wall. Hold up the unit to the wall, pull down the desk/leg then use a level as yoy put a little weight. Check both the desk and top of the cabinet. Use a narrow drill bit to fit in the holes to the wall. We couldn't find any marking tool that would fit and go through to the wall. Now fold it up and take down the unit. Do not use the support anchors that come with it, they are not secure. Use the blue anchors that spread and better metal screws that fit. The scres they provide weren't metal and will probaby break. The hardest part for me was the locking braces. One had flipped the opposite way and i didn't realize it flipped back. Put the desktop and leg together before you try to attach to the shelves. Make sure hardware installed in the right direction. The cabinet swing hinge is thin, not solid. It's working for now, you will have to order online, can't find replacement of better quality in stores.

Very Hard to Put Together!The surface area of this desk is extremely small (my laptop lap desk is larger) and it was very difficult to assemble. The instructions were unclear. Purchase with caution or if you have a lot of time to devote to building it.

Good value, with a little workWell...it's a Murphy desk for less than $100, what are you expecting? First, buy your own screws and anchors, I wouldn't trust anything in the hardware portion of this kit. Someone else described the latch that holds it closed as "made of aluminum foil" and that's accurate. As the picture shows, I went with a "sash" style window lock and it worked great. After about $15 of upgrades, this thing is actually a decent value. While installing, one of the flimsy support arms that keeps the leg from opening greater than 90 degrees bent backwards and sideways and wasn't functional anymore. Link to replacements for those is at the bottom of the review. These replacements seem a little thicker and more sturdy than those that came with it, but they still are not what I would classify as "great". I also agree with others that you need to add 2 additional screws at the bottom of the unit to keep it attached to the wall, use 2 x 90 degree brackets and screw into the bottom and the wall. I wasn't expecting much and not much is what I got, with a little know-how, you can make it work. If you need this to be sturdy out-of-the-box, then i'm afraid you're going to have to pay a bit more on something else.

So versatile! A desk, a place for lunch, a storage unit, a blackboard! So much more, I love it!This floating desk is so unique and a definite space saver. I love that when it’s not in use I can simply fold it up and it then appears as a framed chalkboard on the wall. Folding it up allows me to keep my family room looking tidy. It has been used for so much for my kids. A lot of schoolwork is done at this desk, plenty of room for my 12 year old son's laptop on it or for writing. It also has been used for crafts by my 5 year old. Also lunch is often served here for her. It is so versatile and a useful addition to our living area. There are several shelves for storing and keeping your personal items organized. It is very durable and sturdy. The smooth surface is easy to wipe clean. The blackboard is easy to clean as well- it is perfect for notes or for the kids to be creative with and draw on it. Assembly was very easy, my kids and I really enjoy it.

Pretty good.this desk works great in my space. It is however flimsy. It uses very thin metal components. I actually reinforced the hinged side of the desk with bolts, nuts and washer that go completely through the pressboard material to ensure things don't come apart. It still closes fine. Really nice to be able to stow when not needed and with my adjustments good for laptop work and other light duty.

Worth the price!I am considered a not so handy woman, yet, this was fairly simple to assemble. In all it took me about 35 - 40 minutes to put together. Instructions were simple with an exception for a few pictures that were needed to be clarified a little better. Overall, this was a really good purchase and worth it! Great for small spaces, yet large enough for a purpose. I plan to use this to do clients nails and it is the perfect size!

Nice and spaciousThe table is perfect for what we were looking for. It will serve as a dinning table and work station since most of us now work from home. It was easy to assemble. We added an additional 2 screws with anchors for extra security. The item came with a minor scratch. However, once it was built and mounted, I did not notice it.

Perfect small space deskThe instructions for the hinge installation were very minimal i had to redo them several times before I got it right - the rest of the steps were easy. I also had a stool the exact height I needed to mount it so I was easy to mount I did it myself. For the hinge it posted pictures to help understand how the hinge goes on- the flat part connects to the inside on the desk

Multipurpose.I never thought that a table could be hidden like this. When it was needed, it would become a table in a second. If you do n’t want to use it, you can turn it into a wall cabinet, put things in it, and make a blackboard. A product can have three uses without taking up space. The board is very heavy and you can safely use it.

Nice addition to my RVBought for small RV. Unit is okay assembled but not for road travel. Took apart and used strong wood glue, especially on thin back. Very solid now. Mounted to plywood then wall to aid in travel. Hooks added to keep shut, original is flimsy. Added wine glass holder, three bottles of wine fit. Rest is excellent storage for all small items. Great for space saving

Wall cabinetThe cabinet is very heavy and packed very well, but it takes 2 people to help move and install. I originally wanted to install it in the hall at home. But half of the wall is not installed in the tile. It is recommended that the buyer plan where to put it before purchasing.
