Folding Treadmill with LED Display Bluetooth Speaker

The Treadmill looks nice and is thinner than expected. It is still quite long because it needs to allow for stride lengths. Love the red colour. You need to be careful not to come too far forward when walking on it as you will tread on the thin ish plastic that covers the motor and has the display and speaker in it.
I haven't attempted to use the speaker as I probably won't use that. But I have downloaded the app and connected that to it. The walk and run functions work well. A little louder than I thought it would be as the belt moves round when you place each foot on it. But I have checked it is set up properly (not too tight or too loose) and it is fine.
The handle/hand rest locking lever on mine was a little rusty. I took photos and sent it to the seller and they responded with 'send a video of it please'. Not sure why photos were ignored but I had already tried out a few solutions. So any video would only show the part you have to touch/grip with your hand wrapped in red electrical tape. Rust is very bad if you get it in your skin or worse, into a cut and therefore your bloodstream. So I couldn't leave it un dealt with. The pivot pin area is still rusty as I can't take the pin out. I did scrunch upsome tin foil and gave it a rub with that to scratch off what I could on the surface. I did so on the handle prior to encasing it in the tape also. It took off a good bit of the rust. This is unfortunate that mine was like that and you might not have the same experience. I was unable to send them the video they requested as a result of my resourcefulness due to really wanting to use the treadmill instead of only looking at it in the corner all weekend! I am a bit annoyed that after providing photo evidence there was no resolution offered by the seller, only the disbelief and distrust reply of asking for a video. Surely they must know people are not going to be able to leave rust exposed on an area you have to touch?!
Although the app worked and connected easily, I didn't have such an easy time with the remote. I found a youtube video which confirmed I was following the steps correctly. It just wasn't pairing up. I changed the battery to see if that would help. But still wouldn't pair up. I tried unplugging the treadmill and plugging it in again. Still wouldn't pair. I included this problem in my messages to the seller with their response stated above already. They said they wanted the video sent to the address provided in the link they provide at the bottom of the message. They gave a jpeg link at the bottom which took me to a blank white page within amazon. So I couldn't send a video as there was nothing in the link.
I have now purchased a new remote from costway directly which was almost forty quid plus overseas shippong prices on a remote replacement. I haven't recieved that yet but I have no reason to doubt it will work as the app was able to pair up. So the problem is obviously the remote and not the treadmill. You may not have this problem. I was just unlucky.
The treadmill functionality is great and worth the money. The rust is inconvenient and customer service won't believe photo evidence. So make sure if yours comes rusty, take a video before doing anything to resolve the problem to make it safe to touch and use.
