It looks nice and strong.Its construction looks sturdy, and the shell provides protection. The assembly is straightforward and it's a good size for kids to play with. The edge treatment of the wood is very smooth, which is safe for children to play with.

Amazing BUTWood quality is brilliant, the sand pit itself I cannot fault it’s brilliant. We ended up stapling the bottom base to the inside sides to help keep the sand in/water out.
The cover let’s it down; it fits perfect, and works well at keeping cats and other animals out of it. But doesn’t work well at stopping water in. Not very waterproof as it either lets water slowly soak through, or if you have very bad rain it’ll sit on the top of the cover and eventually make its way in.
