Cute trash canThis is a nice, sturdy trash can. I like the removable inner liner, which makes emptying the can easier. I also like the soft/slow-close feature. It's not as big as I expected or would like, but it's fine for my kitchen. If you have a larger kitchen or a larger family, I recommend getting their largest size, as my trash can needs emptying more often than I expected. It's high-quality, sturdy, and the pedal is comfortable to use without being too shiny. It's a bit pricey, so I hope it lasts a long time. I've also used plastic trash cans, so I bought this one for myself.

Excellent quality-never knew buying a kitchen trash can was so difficult! I knew the size I wanted and researched products from numerous sellers. After reading reviews of this trash can, I was drawn to it, not just because of the price (which was certainly cheaper than others), but also because of the reviews. I agree with most of the reviews—this trash can doesn't look cheap (so don't be scared by the Costway Basics "label"), its shape is actually more space-efficient than a regular round trash can, and I think it looks high-quality and doesn't feel cheap at all. The lid opens with a foot pedal and has a slow-closing lid, all of which work very well. A plus point compared to my old trash can is that the inner compartment is plastic, making it easy to wash and clean (my old trash can's inner compartment was stainless steel, which had corroded over time). I'm very happy with this purchase and glad I didn't spend an extra £20-40 on a branded product.

Apple iBin ProThis trash can is the perfect minimalist's choice. It's stylish and easy to use. Even if you told me it was designed by Jonathan Ive and Steve Jobs and you bought it from an Apple store, I'd believe it. Every time I pass by it, I can't help but take a second look; it's always a pleasant surprise. However, one drawback is that the trash bag is always visible. It would be much better if the bag could be hidden so that it doesn't detract from the stylish look. The soft-close design gives it a high-end feel, which complements the high-quality materials and heavy texture. There are no unnecessary features. There's a pedal to open the lid and an internal trash compartment that can be removed for practical use. It does exactly what it needs to. I was worried that the 30-liter trash can would be too small for a single-person household. But it's the perfect size. It took me over a week to fill it up. I think it would also be suitable for two people. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it without hesitation.

I like the design, but the quality is not so goodWe love the aesthetics of this trash can and its practicality for recycling. Unfortunately, we've only had it for two weeks, and it's already showing problems. Even though we wear slippers inside (to avoid bringing dust inside), the pedals are scratched, and the paint on the inside trash can handle is peeling. I noticed this today when I took out the liner for the trash bag. I'm wondering if I can replace it because it's defective/poor quality, but I don't know how to contact the seller (i.e., Costway itself). Overall, it's a good product, but the quality should be better, especially considering the price (we paid nearly £60). That's why it gets 3 stars.

Just a litter box for litter boxes.My 91-year-old mother-in-law bought this online. It broke after only 8 weeks of minimal use—a substandard product that doesn't even deserve a 1-star rating. I tried to send a replacement and was told they wouldn't accept them. The customer service was terrible. Don't buy this.

Very good and what we needThe trash can arrived on time, well-packaged, and sturdy, meeting our requirements. The two bins were perfectly sized and met our needs: one for trash and one for recyclables. The food waste was placed in a separate bin, unlike some advertised ones (which don't open with a wave of the hand but require a pedal to open). Recommended.

That's awesome, but the dog now knows how to open it!When I read the mixed reviews about this trash can, I was a little unsure, but I desperately needed an alternative to hanging trash bags on the kitchen door. My dog is always picking things up from it. I don't have much space in my kitchen for a trash can, so I needed one that's slim but large enough for a family of four with a cat and a dog. I've been using this trash can for a month now and I love it. I really like its automatic closing system, so you don't have to touch the can at all. It's very easy to operate and clean. It fits in tight spaces, and I turned it around so it doesn't sense someone walking by. The sensor seems to work well, and I'm still using the original batteries (they're not included). The only awkward thing is trying to keep the lid open for extended periods of time. This is possible if you make sure to stand in front of the sensor when you put things in the trash can. That way, it stays open until you walk away. I would buy this trash can again; it was a great deal when I bought it on Costway. I just have to figure out a way to prevent my dog from deliberately pressing the sensor with his nose to open it! Hahaha!

Great trash canI really like this trash can. It's large, but the rectangular design keeps it out of the way. Some reviews mention the automatic lid stopping working—I've had this happen occasionally, where if you manually close the lid, it won't open until I manually open it to force it to close, but it's not really a problem. The cheap supermarket batteries lasted over a month in a crowded household with children, who found it hilarious because they could open the trash can.

DisappointedI'm giving this trash can one star because it looks nice, but the sensor is poor. I've removed the plastic cover and cleaned the sensor several times, but it still only works when it senses it's working. We used to have a similar trash can that would open instantly when it sensed a hand or foot (which was sometimes helpful). This trash can never respond to a foot; you have to wave your hand for several seconds before it opens. Most of the time, I lose patience and open it manually. I tried contacting the seller, but they provided instructions for several different types of trash cans, but none of them were helpful. So, if you want a good-looking trash can that occasionally opens when it senses your hand, this one is for you. However, if you want a sensor-based trash can that opens instantly when it senses motion, I recommend looking elsewhere. If the seller sees this article, I'd be interested in your review.

Cute trash cans won't last foreverI really like this trash can and have recommended it to friends. However, this was to replace a trash can I bought about 4 and a half years ago. The old one looked fine, with good quality plastic, but the latch had become "soft" and wouldn't close properly. To avoid disappointment, I bought a new one and used the old one for storage in the garage. They weren't expensive, and after nearly five years of use, the latch has held up perfectly, making it an excellent value. It looks great, takes up little space, and is easy to use. I prefer it to any other lid I've used. I almost forgot—the base was broken when I got the new one. I was surprised how easy it was to report the issue, get my trash back, and get a refund, so I ordered another one.

Just what we were looking for!This was exactly what we were looking for, and the price was great, so we bought it right away, along with their trash bags and trash can set. We're very happy with the product and are very happy with it. We highly recommend it. We also replaced our large trash can with this smaller one because we didn't have enough space in the kitchen for a large one, and we were short on floor space. This trash can is perfect; we store it under the sink in the cabinet, which means it doesn't take up much space and works perfectly as a kitchen trash can. We've been using this new trash can for several months and are very happy with our purchase. We use up a trash bag almost every day and just throw it into the outdoor trash can. With just the two of us and a few animals in our household, we've found this trash can to be perfect for our needs. Honestly, even with the addition of children, we'll keep this trash can system—even if it means using more trash bags. We actually prefer a smaller trash can, which allows for more regular emptying, which means trash doesn't accumulate in the house for too long and creates unpleasant odors. So, for us, this is a real plus, and we never want to use a larger trash can again. Highly recommended, great quality and easy to install. It is durable and will last with regular use, we use this bin with the rubbish bags provided by the company and they fit the bin perfectly.

Assembly TipsWe've had this trash can for four years and it works great. Installation was easy, but the frame holding it in place requires occasional unscrewing and cleaning, as even with careful cleaning, food, spills, dust, and other debris can still lodge behind the frame. We solved this problem by applying a layer of sealant to all edges that come into contact with the door, including the inside edge of the frame. After tightening the frame to the door, we smoothed off any excess sealant to create a perfect seal.

Perfect for small base cabinets.The door bins are very good quality and very easy to install, just make sure you take the depth of your sink into account when installing them, this will make recycling paper etc much better as it will be easier for people with disabilities to put their rubbish into the bin without having to reach in.

While it arrived with a small crack in the plastic lid, it's barely noticeable and doesn't affect its usability. Installation was a breeze. Easy-to-install cat-proof litter box (so far)bought this to install in a regular kitchen cabinet to prevent our cat from trying to open the pedal bin and getting into it. It's easy to install and works great, but now the cat can't get in, even though he tries. There are only two of us in our household, and it holds a surprisingly large amount of recyclables and trash that needs to be changed every 3-4 days, so it's surprisingly spacious for such a compact product.

Cannot open or close completelyFor the price, this trash can is fine until I can find a better one. The good thing is that it holds a decent amount of trash. When you press the pedal, it partially opens. When you take your foot off the pedal, it closes almost completely. The bad thing is that the lid doesn't open all the way. It only opens about three-quarters. I could have bought a cheaper, generic brand that opened just as much, but I went with a reputable brand, thinking it would open completely, or at least more. The lid snaps back to the top, but it doesn't actually close completely. So if there's something smelly in the trash can, you can smell the same odor as when the lid is open. If you gently push it all the way down with your finger, it won't open when you press the pedal. You have to open it manually until the pedal works. If someone walks heavily, the lid might fall off on its own, requiring repair. It's thin and light, so if you put something bulky in it, the trash can will warp. Someone put a bunch of clothes in my trash can, and it warped the can, making the lid even harder to close. For the same reason, you can't push things down to compress the trash can to make more room. The can will warp and affect the lid. Finally, the trash bag doesn't have a retaining mechanism. It has a lip that you poke the trash bag into, but it doesn't actually secure the bag. It just makes it look neat... until you put something in the trash can and the bag gets pulled in. I had to repeatedly pick at the lip of the bag with yogurt and other food in it because other people in the house would keep pouring things in regardless of whether the bag had fallen off the lip. It's a good temporary trash can until you save up for a better one, but I'm not sure I'd use it permanently. The brand is a bit disappointing. I expected better.

Perfect for the kitchenIt looks great and is the perfect size—you definitely don't want a giant trash can on your worktop. It's easy to clean. For us, it's perfect for just dumping it in the compost bin. We only put vegetable peelings and green waste in it. No cooked food or citrus, and definitely no meat! Stylish and practicalThis countertop compost bin is stylish and practical. The blue colorway matches my kitchen perfectly. It's a good size and holds plenty of space without taking up too much space. There's no odor (though it's fall now—the real test will come next summer). The one I chose has handles on both the outer and inner buckets. They look well-made and feel great to use. The inner bucket is well-designed, allowing liquids to drain to the bottom. I find it easy to empty and clean. While more expensive than my previous OXO trash can, I think this one has a better design and is a great value! So far, only positives...!

As stylish as a caddyAt first I thought I'd need a bag, but I understand the purpose of the drip tray and it's not really necessary. When it's full I just empty it into the food waste bin outside. Not cheap, but good qualitybought this trash can for our newly renovated kitchen because we had no space for a freestanding one. I hesitated for a long time because some reviews said it was damaged, but ours arrived intact. We installed it in a 300mm cabinet, and it fits perfectly. We also added a shelf on top for paper towels, and there's still room for another shelf on top for things like tinfoil rolls. It's been around for about 18 months and is still in great shape. While it wasn't cheap, it's worth it.
