Use through a table hole and not free-standingVery sturdy strong base but should best be used with parasol through a table hole as I had a parasol free-standing in this base and a slight wind bent the parasol upright pole to a 30 degree angle but the base did not move.

You won't be sorry when you buy this productLove this product, is made of good quality it's very durable very easy to work with has wheels underneath and the handle is telescopic. We use water but you can use sand it doesn't leak it is a great value for your money and the best part you don't have to worry about nobody running off with it because they can't pick it up. I highly recommend this product

It will be here soonWhy did you choose this product over others?: I ordered it right before the July 4th weekend and wasn't sure if it would arrive in time for the party I had scheduled. But it did arrive and it held down the sand easily and helped me hold up the table umbrella even when it was windy.

Great productWhy choose this product over others?: I just received it today and it is awesome! It was easy to assemble and it looks great too. I previously used an older model of this umbrella stand and have had it for over five years and have never had a problem. The price is great too and I highly recommend this product.

Sturdy umbrella base!Well packaged for easy transport. Heavy, but extra weight is added to keep the umbrella stable. Looks more expensive than it actually is. Durable and built to last. Comes with adjustable attachments to fit various pole sizes.

4" stem baseFinally found a base that fits our patio table! This is the third one I've purchased and it's perfect. It has a 4" bracket that goes into the base and none of the other brackets would fit this table because of the crossbar on the bottom half of the table. Great quality, looks great, and is sturdy!

It's easy to fill with water and works great! The product is well packaged. It is ready to use right out of the box, just add water. It does not leak. It is heavy enough for the 10-foot three-layer parasol from the same brand that we purchased. It has excellent stability and can remain stable even in windy conditions. It has four wheels, two of which can be locked and unlocked, allowing you to move the parasol easily. It has enough storage space and is heavy enough to keep your parasol stable. The color is nice.

Good value for money!Love this product! I live in the country and it can be very windy in the mountains. This stand is very stable and my umbrella has never been blown over. I like the double screw design, which is strong and stable, and the knob design makes it easy to adjust the tightness of the umbrella tube. Highly recommend this product.

It only takes a little imagination to completeThe "tube" didn't fit my umbrella, the screws were too short to hold the umbrella in place, and the holes for adding sand or water were too small in diameter. All of these shortcomings can be fixed with a little imagination (and spacers, longer bolts, and a funnel). This is a nice basic umbrella stand, but it has a few minor design flaws.

Solid and good value for moneyVery happy with this product. Very sturdy, but very light. Fits easily under the table and can easily hold water. The umbrella is screwed in, making it very easy to install. Used it for a week, through wind and rain, and it is well worth the price.

WonderfulHere are the pros, cons and conclusion. Pros: - Good value for money - Well made - Easy to move on concrete and can be locked when needed - Stable when filled with water, this is the base I use. - Good size, not too big and bulky, not too small and unstable. - Nice appearance - Good water retention and no leaks. Cons: - The umbrella is also difficult to move when it gets wet and on wooden surfaces. Conclusion: - I would buy it again if needed, but I hope this base will last a long time with proper care.

Works great and can be easily stored away when not in useWhy did you choose this product over others?: It has good reviews. I had a problem with the freestanding parasol on my patio being blown over by the wind. This water-filled parasol solves that problem. It is heavy when filled with water and can be easily emptied and put away when not in use.

Sturdy umbrella baseSo far so good. I was looking for a sturdy and durable base that could support an 11 foot long parasol. This base can be built with water or sand to create a sturdy and durable base that can withstand strong winds. I filled it with water and it supports 81.4 lbs. I considered using sand, which supports 123 lbs, but it was unnecessary and would have been messy. The base also has casters so it is very easy to move around my patio. This is a great product and did exactly what I was looking for! :-)

heavyI had trouble finding the knob to secure the umbrella at first, but I finally found it. It's super heavy and should keep the umbrella in place in our windy conditions.

Not heavy enough for large freestanding parasolsThis one is OK, but not heavy enough to hold my umbrella. Granted, they are freestanding and are 9 foot umbrellas. This stand is actually OK for my umbrella that goes through a metal table, as it holds it better. I don't think I'll be buying this stand again for my freestanding umbrella, though.

So glad we chose this base.Very happy with this one as it holds up even in strong winds. Very easy to fill with water, about three quarters is enough, then dump it out at the end of the season for storage. The lockable wheels are a plus, allowing us to move it anywhere we want. The details are really impressive. The pole has two fixing bolts, the water plug has thick rubber pads and the wheels lock very securely. We have no regrets, we paired it with an umbrella from this company and everything fits perfectly. Very commendable product!

Simple fit, functional and practicalWorked as advertised. We filled the pool with water and it was a breeze to assemble. I wish they were a little taller so it would have more volume and weight. Even with the sand it wasn't as heavy as I would have liked, but they advertise the weight so that's not a bad thing. Let's see if it holds up to the sun for a long time.

Small but powerful and very elegantPerfect for a small table on the deck where space is limited! It's heavy enough to hold a 7 foot umbrella but doesn't take up too much room. Very nice looking and I love that it won't rust like old fashioned umbrellas!

Perfect for smaller size and lighter weight chassisThis is a beautiful stand and looks good quality. At first I thought it was a missing piece but then I realized it was loose and stuck under the cushioning on the bottom of the umbrella cover. I love the smaller diameter and it fits perfectly under my small table. It is lighter than my old ugly concrete stand and is easier to move. I recommend it to anyone who wants a lighter and more compact stand.

Excellent qualityEasy to install, beautiful and durable. It is heavy and strong. It works fine even when there is no wind. But it can't be used on my patio because I need to fix it to the railing and half of the circle is exposed. I have to buy a half-circle base.

Larger and heavier, it provides good balance for the extended parasol. The weight is good enough to support the parasol when extended, but it is a little large for its purpose, especially if you have a small patio area. It depends on how you feel about the stability you need in a parasol to counteract the force of the wind. However, I am happy that it fully meets this need. The base looks good overall and is very stable after putting in sand or other ballast. The holes for the sand could be a little larger, but it is a little cumbersome to operate. The base is designed to be recessed so that it can be easily moved manually, which is a nice feature.

For a heavyweight base, great value. This is an affordable base that, when filled with water, holds my large parasol securely even in a breeze. I love how well it is designed. It is light when empty and I can easily carry it with the molded handle on the bottom. Simply fill it with water from the top filling hole, which has a rubber stopper to prevent water from spilling or evaporating. The central bracket is steel tubing and comes with two width adapters to accommodate different diameter parasol poles. The bracket is fixed to a steel plate under the base so that once it is fixed with the side screws, the parasol will not be lifted in high winds. The base comes with clear and easy to understand instructions and comes with an Allen wrench for the bottom screws of the mounting tube. Winter storage is also simple, just pour out the water and lay the base on its side so it doesn't take up too much space in the shed or garage. This is a sturdy and affordable product that simply and effectively protects me from the sun and wind. Highly recommended.

Well made fillable umbrella weightSo far, this seems to be a well-made and nice-looking fillable umbrella weight. It has a nice handle that makes it easier to move even when filled with sand or rocks. It also comes with a tool-free extra-long thumbscrew for securing the umbrella pole. I actually bought it to add stability to a metal towel rack I bought on costway (see attached photos). This towel rack seemed a little unstable, and I noticed that other similar towel racks had similar weights installed. Note that the center hole of this umbrella rack actually has a stopper about 1.25 inches from the bottom. This is a great design to keep the umbrella pole away from your patio surface so that it doesn't scratch or rust. It's a shame that I had to cut it open with a hole saw to slide it onto the towel rack rod. But no matter how you plan to use this umbrella rack, I would recommend it without hesitation.

Advanced ItemsGreat umbrella stand! I love it. Not only does it look great, it also does exactly what I expect from an umbrella stand. It can be easily moved around the patio and locks automatically when it finds its spot. The stand itself is not heavy, but sand and/or water can affect the weight a bit. Our large umbrella fits perfectly in it and it tilts easily. I would not hesitate to buy it again. There is no noise except for the sound of rocks colliding on the patio. It looks and has been used so far to show that it is very durable and well made.

Not bad for a small umbrellaThis is fine for small to medium sized umbrellas. If you have a commercial umbrella that is 9 feet or longer, you will need to weight it down because high winds can blow the whole thing over. Other than that, it looks great and is great to use.

Strong and powerfulLove this base, the square design fits perfectly on my rectangular patio table legs. The sun pattern design is very subtle. The base comes pre-filled and is very sturdy for its weight and size. Highly recommended.

Great era, heavy responsibility on shoulders...very excitedI bought this umbrella stand to attach to my new patio table. It took only 45 seconds to assemble. In fact, we went out to dinner one night and a severe thunderstorm came while we were away. When we got home, there were many large branches scattered around the yard, but the umbrellas on the stand were intact. Highly recommend to all consumers.

Pre-filled umbrella baselike the more compact, flatter shape of this base, but it may affect the weight of the base. I didn't feel any wind the other day, but the wind got under my umbrella and blew both the base and the umbrella off the porch!

Fairly sturdy, but not suitable for under a deskThis base is pretty sturdy. It looks pretty heavy in the box, but to be honest, once the umbrella is in there and opened, it does wobble and tip over easily when the wind blows. I wish it was a little heavier. The build quality could be better too - some corners were definitely cut. I'll give this last one a go, but if you plan on putting it under a table, make sure you double check the space under the table. The pole on this base for the umbrella pole was too tall to fit under our table, so we had to put it next to it.

Strong and durable, but not very trustworthy in wind powerThis umbrella stand does exactly what I need. I wanted one that is waterproof because I use it poolside. The bolts are metal and may rust, but I'll take care of that later if I need to. It was easy to assemble. The vertical section comes with two plastic adapters to accommodate different diameter poles. It holds my umbrella securely. It's been rained on, splashed on, and still looks great. I'm not sure that at 25 pounds it would hold an umbrella if it were open in the wind, so I always fold it up and carry the whole thing to the alcove when the wind picks up. It's heavy, but not so heavy that it's hard to move. I can also roll it up if I want. Very nice stand.

The base is rustproof, the tube and parts are not. A little adjustment will make it perfect...I've bought three of these so far. Two were bought about 2.5 years ago and I recently bought another one to replace the one I bought 2.5 years ago because its base broke. The base is rust proof but I'll tell you what is not and arguably the most important part is the tube/shaft. The tube appears to be made of a fairly thin metal that is coated the same as the base. The tube is attached to the base with bolts, fender washers, lock washers and nuts. These parts plus the tube itself and the dial/screw piece that tightens the shaft are all rusted. To be fair, I use them ten feet from a chlorine pool surrounded by salty ocean breezes so my rust experience and conditions are probably worse than most. In the case of the broken one, the tube broke at the base due to corrosion and I suspect it was pushed hard by someone's foot ;) I saw the same corrosion on another original stand. I've been wanting to apply a rust-proof paint, but it doesn't look good on the outside, so you have to pour it in from the tube, or remove the tube, or apply it during assembly (preferably during assembly). Also, when it rains, some of the water will run down the tube, so it just sits on the metal, which isn't good for the umbrella, since there are no drainage holes. Another problem I ran into was that the tube gradually loosened from the base over time (probably because someone moved the table and base slightly), causing the umbrella to tilt. Since the bolt parts were corroded and the bolt heads had to be stuffed into a 12-inch long tube, it was not easy to re-tighten them. I had to buy an extra-long socket extension to get to the bolt heads. I'm not sure there is a perfect umbrella stand out there, but this one, made of stainless or galvanized steel, or coated with a thick rust-proofing agent, should do the trick. The color of the frame (brown with a gold faux paint tint) has remained mostly the same. The base looks mostly dark brown with age. The only unsightly thing is the rust. The base doesn't seem to leave marks poolside, and it seems to hold up well in tropical storms even if the umbrella goes through the table into the stand. The reason I replaced the broken stand instead of getting a new one is because I already have one (I need two) and don't want to go through the hassle of finding the perfect stand. If the stand breaks again, I'll probably get a welder friend to make a perfect stand, since there's nothing wrong with the base (I'll have to try to match the colors, of course, but maybe just paint it all chocolate brown).
