RespectedThe only downside is that the lid doesn't clip on or stay on, so my daughters often take it off. Other than that, the product is great, great quality, shipped quickly, and the price is good.

Automatic chicken house openerMy mother had a similar gate for two years, but it mysteriously broke a few months ago. She couldn't afford a new one, so when I saw this gate, I thought it would be great! It's about a centimeter smaller than the existing gate (which makes it quick and easy to install). It works by setting a timer to open and close it daily. I love that they've upgraded it so that if a chicken sits on it while it's open or closed, it has a 5 kg weight limit—just lift it up. It's a beautiful, durable product that can be wiped down and cleaned whenever needed, and my mother is very happy now! It's a great product that helps deter unwanted animals from attacking free-range chickens at night.

Great for courage, but not so much for anything else.Well-made. I bought a few to feed my eight hens their afternoon corn mix to keep them from fighting. They're well-made, but the top pops open like a Pringles can, so you can't carry it by the lid. The inner compartment rotates when you push it, so the hens all ate some of the corn, and because it wasn't heavy enough, they knocked it over. The opening is a good size and not sharp. I guess it's fine for gravel, but not for anything else. It's large, with a round hole in the bottom, and is about the size of a construction bucket.

Amazing equipmentWell, I'm so impressed with this. We bought a garden box from B&M to use as a chicken coop, but we were still trying to figure out how to add a door. I saw this and thought the price was right and worth a try. My husband dug the holes, and it took me about five minutes to put it together. I attached it directly to the feather trim, and it's incredibly secure. Absolutely amazing!

Amazing, adaptable, smooth-running chicken gateIt took a little fiddling to get the door in the right position, but the problem was entirely our own fault—it works perfectly. We attached it to the mesh in the coop so the chickens can use the timed automatic door opener to get out into the garden in the afternoon. They love it!

Nice doors, but I wish there were more options...The doors are nice but I wish there was an option for width since my coop is plastic and I need a slightly wider door to fill the entire coop, but the wooden coop doors are perfect.

It's not the door design - it's great. It would be even better if it could fit in...What a great tool. Delivery was fast and packaging was excellent. Unfortunately, we have a Devon chicken coop with double runs, and we secure the runs with underground wire skirting to prevent foxes, but the design of the coop prevented the door from fitting. It's not the design of the door - it's great. It would have been much better if it had been installed when the coop was built. The door is very neat - a great product.

Fully functional and reasonably pricedFor the price, I can't really fault it. I've had it for six months and changed the batteries twice. My hens are used to it now, but don't set the timer too late or they'll rush out. The door stops when it senses a hen underneath. If the door is half-open, the hens can't get out. My door didn't move after it sensed the hens underneath. Now they open it fully and try to rush in. For the price, I can't really fault it.

Replaced the expensive brand name chicken gate systemMuch better than expected. My previous door system broke after 14 months, so I replaced it with a very expensive Chicken brand door system. This one is less than a third of the price. Easy installation, works just as described. Easy programming. The door and frame are both metal.

This set is priceless. The hens stayed up all night long without any problems. Excellent value!This is a great tool. Installation was very simple. Setting the morning and evening times is also very easy. The hens know when the door opens and come out one by one. They go to sleep an hour before the door closes. This really helps the rescue hens acclimate and develop a regular routine. We bought top-quality Duracell batteries. We've been using them for about three weeks and haven't had any problems so far. Considering the price, ease of use, and nighttime safety, this is a priceless tool. Highly recommended.

Works great!I'm very happy with this one. I bought another one for a friend who also keeps chickens. The timer is very easy to set. I waited a while to see if it opened and closed at the correct time, and it did. It opened in the morning for my chickens and closed shortly after they went to bed. It saved me a lot of trouble, and it's very sturdy. The only issue I encountered with installation—and it had nothing to do with the product—was that there needed to be enough space to raise the door. I had to reposition the top of the coop to fit it. Another issue was that it didn't stop immediately if something was in the way. I reached in to close the door and slightly crushed my arm. I'm not sure if it would be safe if I caught a small animal. I set it to close when the chickens were inside, thinking that if they were just sitting under the coop, they would move when the coop started to close. However, this might be something to be aware of. Other than that, it's a great product. Both items arrived quickly (a few months apart when I ordered them), were well packaged, and were very affordable.

Reliable productsThis is my first automatic chicken coop door, and we've been using it in our purpose-built chicken coop since February 2025. I can safely say it's never let me down. I'm about to replace the batteries for the second time, so it's been very reliable in that regard. It was very easy to install and (I imagine) more cost-effective than more expensive brand names. It's been a real benefit to us, as we can go out on weekends or during the day without worrying about the hens.

Unfortunately, there are flawsThe door was installed a month ago and it opens and closes fine, but the plastic panel covering the display and controls is starting to delaminate so I'm returning it as defective, which is a shame as it appears to be working fine. However, water can get into the circuits and that can be detrimental.

Excellent chicken house doorThis chicken coop door is amazing! It means I can sleep in on the weekends without having to worry about letting the chickens out. Even if I get home late at night, I know they're safe. It gives me peace of mind knowing they can get in and out safely even when I'm not home. It works exactly as expected, and I can adjust the timer to keep the chickens inside or out at any time. It was super easy to install, and I find it very secure and predator-proof. The price is also great, as some doors with the same functionality cost much more. Highly recommended!

Excellent safety performance, high-quality productsThis door does just about everything you need. The instructions are easy to follow, and programming the timer is a breeze. The battery life is also good. It appears well-made, is rust-resistant, and has an IPX4 waterproof rating—basically, splashproof, according to Google. Unless your chickens are active underwater, this door should be more than adequate. The door has a rolling gear mechanism that allows it to raise and lower, making it extra secure if predators like foxes try to pry it open or burrow under it. I also like the anti-pinch feature, which means if your hens dawdle at the door, they won't get pinched because the door will stop moving downward. I think it's excellent value for money, providing extra security for your chickens, and best of all, you can sleep in peace knowing your chickens are outside.

Night HenIt's easy to install on the coop. This means if I'm busy at night, the hens can go to bed without me having to intervene. Their food and water are protected, and like most hens, they come inside after dark. The door is a fairly standard size and should fit most coops.

It has a good capacity and a secure top, so birds won’t have much trouble using it.bought this for my feral pigeons because the feed bucket I provided was always getting wet, and I couldn't stand it. It's a sturdy set; the top snaps into place securely, but it falls off with a gentle flick of the hand. There's a divider at the bottom that separates the feed bucket into three sections. I removed it because my birds are clumsy and they find it a bit intimidating. The pigeons can reach the bottom of the bucket just by stretching, and it's fun to watch them tiptoeing around, but I know the divider is for chickens, who can easily reach the bottom. I plan to add something to the inside to raise the feed and reduce the need to reach. It will also provide good water protection from sideways rain. I bring it in every night to avoid attracting rats, but so far it's been a hit, and the pigeons are going crazy for the feeder. I'm probably feeding them the best feed I've ever had.

Awesome! My chicks are so happy!Made of durable plastic, it retains its lovely bright red color. I bought it a few months ago. It has withstood scorching heat, rain, and sub-zero temperatures. It keeps the feed clean and protected. The chickens don't knock it over. The lid stays securely in place. Easy to clean. Simple and effective.

Very good effectI used this to store two layers of mashed potatoes and corn. The hens spotted it right away, and the food stayed clean and dry. It has three small holes in the bottom, which is the only downside, as some of the mashed potatoes fell through. If it didn't have the holes, I would have bought another one for water.

The Perfect Quail Nestbought this feeder for quail, not as a gravel station. It has small holes in the bottom to prevent water from collecting, so it's not suitable for use as a waterer. My quail can freely graze the gravel on the ground, so a feeder isn't necessary. I think this feeder would be perfect for feeding pellets so they don't scatter feed everywhere and waste it. As you can see in my photos, the red color indicates where dust accumulates. The small holes in the feeder mean the feed can only be filled to a certain height. When it gets too low, the quail can't reach it and jump in. As a result, many quail use it as a nest and poop on the feed. So, it's been converted into a bird's nest with hay, which the quails love, and it keeps it dry. I'm very happy with it, but considering its use and price, I think it could be a few pounds cheaper. The small holes in the bottom mean it's limited in use, and insects and ground moisture can get in. It's durable and easy to clean. Perhaps adding some kind of feeder flow system to prevent hens from nesting would be more cost-effective. I would probably buy this brand and product again but not for the intended use. To be honest I think it sits too low to the ground for hens and I would recommend placing it on a few bricks so the hens are elevated.
