Not Velcro strapsArrived early, of good quality, but the ribbon is white and not Velcro. It would have been better if the ribbon was green so that it would blend in with the cover.

High quality, adding privacy to your gardenreally like this side awning. We bought it for wind protection and privacy on our patio. We attached it to the wall of our house using two high-quality grommets on the bracket, which "catch" the telescopic frame. The posts are of excellent quality. If you're installing it on patio slabs, be sure to use high-quality valvular plugs. Our slabs are thin, so I bought several different plugs to ensure the posts don't move. I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The telescopic mechanism is very sturdy. You need to slowly retract it inside the mechanism to prevent the fabric from wrinkling. It's been working great for a few weeks.

Great for temporary privacyA good quality one, the screen is mounted on a 4x4 inch post with holes drilled in the latch end and bolted to suitable pavers. Basically, the idea is to change the angle of the screen by moving the pavers. My neighbors are nosy, bordering on obsessive, so I'd like to have some privacy while I'm working on my car.

BeautifulInstallation isn't easy. You'll need to be quite skilled at DIY, comfortable with a fairly powerful masonry drill, wrench, and screwdriver. The wall and/or floor you choose must be very sturdy and not "brittle" or "loose," otherwise the installation won't be very effective. If you choose the variable-height version, the adjustment and "trimming" process is quite involved, requiring a large, clean, dry space to work in and a very steady hand to cut the fabric straight—but it's well worth the effort (or paying someone else to trim and install it). It looks quite good—pretty, in fact. Once securely installed, the awning housing and struts have a somewhat "industrial" look, but it certainly fits the "modern" style. The paint job is acceptable and does the job, but I can see how it could damage if not installed carefully, and long-term exposure to harsh environments (humidity and "salty" air) could lead to corrosion issues. The spring-loaded return mechanism and operation are well-designed, and once properly set up, it's sturdy and easy to use. The fabric itself is top-notch—not too thick, heavy, or bulky, nor too light or flimsy to be useful. It's not a completely blackout fabric, meaning it lets some light through (depending on the color), which is actually quite nice and a desirable feature for many applications, like mine. Otherwise, corners of the garden would be quite dark. I was looking for some extra shade, not trying to create a photography "darkroom." It certainly cuts down on wind and light rain. A smaller version like mine is perfect for wind/sun protection, or just extra privacy. The extra-large version can actually be used as a retractable "partition" wall! (My next project). All in all, I'm very happy with these—I could have spent a little more, but the quality wouldn't be much different.

Deck side awningI bought this to screen off my patio and make it a more private nighttime space. It's a bit windy, but I don't sit in the garden exposed to the wind, so it's not a problem for me. Everyone who sees it in my garden asks where I bought it, and I send them the link so they can buy it themselves. The quality is excellent, and it looks more expensive than I paid for it. I would definitely buy it again. I did have to find someone to install it, as it's quite heavy and cumbersome.

Bring me sunshineThe box arrived slightly damaged, and upon opening it, I discovered the main metal rod that runs through the canopy was broken in two. I decided to tape it back together, as I needed the canopy that day. The rest of the canopy came together easily, and it received so many compliments, and I've shared the link to purchase it several times. I bought it to protect the food we distribute from the school food bank, but everyone knows that as long as the canopy is open, we receive free food donations

Patio door sunshadesExcellent value for money, and installation was fairly easy, though it's best done with two people. I don't have a roof to tuck it into, so I placed two plastic water pipes on the wall and inserted the pipes, which worked perfectly. It does get a little messy in the wind because it doesn't lock, but if the wind is strong, I just roll it up. Why would you choose this product over others? : For shade on sunny days.

No customer service responding to inquiriesThis was a quick fix for a lack of sunlight on our balcony. The installation was a bit complicated, but we eventually managed it. The price was reasonable. They're not very sturdy, so I doubt they'll last long, and it's difficult to adjust the height precisely, but that's probably just my personal experience. They slide on rollers, so they're not very aesthetically pleasing. My main complaint, however, is that we lost a component on our balcony and needed a replacement, which we were happy to pay for. However, customer service never answered the phone and didn't respond to messages, emails, or texts. UK customer service is terrible.

Good, but embarrassingGood quality, delivered on time. Installation was a bit fiddly, but I eventually managed it. You need to remove the stoppers in the mounting slots and pry the plastic cover off the end of the front bar. Note that you'll need to keep the molding around the seams of the old cover, as it's not included with the new one. I found it easier to remove the rear roller and front bar from the frame, attach the new cover, and then reassemble.

A good alternativeI was planning on throwing out the existing canopy, but after cleaning the metal parts and replacing it with new fabric, it's like new. The fabric isn't as thick as the original, but it still provides plenty of shade. It arrived foldable, making it easy to replace.

Excellent product.Assembly and installation are very simple, and with several adjustable height accessories, it can be installed almost anywhere. Summer awningsInstallation is relatively simple; you'll need a power tool to drill holes, a hammer, and a level to ensure both buckles are level so they connect to the main unit. The awning works well as a privacy screen, but be careful in windy weather; in such cases, securely lower it back into the unit. Retractable awnings are recommended.
