This proved even better than I had hoped. Lightweight but robust, I was able to control it on my roof, from a scaffolding platform or ladder without walking on the tiles. I attached a garden sprayer with a very long piece of tubing bought from an aquarium supplier. I used a "spray and walk away" solution and the brown moss turned green in a minute or two as it absorbed the fluid. Next day I could run the roof scraper lightly over the tiles to dislodge the dead moss. I may have removed a bit more of the fine gravel coating than if I had simply brushed the tiles, but I found a brush was not firm enough to shift the moss. The job took time but I enjoyed it and avoided a bill for £1,200 I had been quoted by a local retired roofer.
