Attractive FireguardWe had to have a fireguard for our new log burner as we have a young grandchild who spends a lot of time with us. However I didn't want it to be permanent so a folding one was what we wanted.
The decorative detail on the top is so pretty and sets the guard off a treat.
It's easily folded flat and tucks out of the way when not needed.
The woodburner looks just as lovely with the guard in front as without it, and I never expected to think that!

Nice fire guard - but arrived slightly damagedNice looking fire guard, but the mesh slightly damaged - you can see by zooming in that several of the parts of mesh are broken .

reat firescreenIt was delivered quickly, basically packaged in a cardboard box and comes ready made up (no construction needed). It's just the right size to fit around my inset wood burner (see pics) to stop my cat from getting too close. It looks nice, either tucked square around the burner or opened out a little. It doesn't seem to get very hot (which I don't understand) so it can be moved without wearing gloves, but also doesn't seem to hinder the burner or block much heat from the room (although I think it blocks a little heat). It feels heavy enough to stay up, but light enough to move around easily. I bought it to prevent my cat touching the wood burner - she's been getting very, very close - and it's perfect for that. I think if I had a bigger animal like a dog I would use some kind of hook or something to attach it more securely, but for my needs it's great, much better than expected! I think it probably wouldn't be quite right as a child proof fire screen, even hooked on, as it's open at the top and a little hand could reach through or over.
