Sturdy did the jobIt holds my parasol well, it has a variable size holder so it fits most parasols. But since I bought it it’s rained and been windy so I’m thinking it’s going to definitely last a while as it’s on permanent vacation and having constant R+R. But at least it’s ready for action.

Far far better than I anticipatedDon’t hesitate to buy this if your looking for a HEAVY stand that doesn’t tip over with an open parasol in the slightest breeze. I’ve a 2.5 m parasol - free standing so no table for additional support and its going nowhere. A good solid and very heavy stand does the job its supposed too. Obviously if it was very windy I dare say it would probably move but then common sense would tell you to not chance your luck. If your wanting to follow the sun and move this round the garden regularly then you need some muscle. It also looks good- antiquey type finish.

Owned it a few weeks now, and it seems sturdy, but only time will tell.

As describedAfter a bit it becomes loose and needs to be retightened in the bottom. It’s outdoors so I get a lot of rain and wind in Florida so it does collect leaves and pollen underneath that needs to be randomly cleaned. But it’s heavy so it holds much better than the plastic water or dirt fillable one I returned that just fell all the time.

definitely heavier than mostWe live in a high wind area. The standard umbrella bases are not near adequate for holding up an umbrella. This base ha worked much better for the common winds although we had not had higher gusts to see how hit held up to our wrought iron stands. Base is much wider as well. So far we are pleased

HeavyBase is heavy which is what you want. The main pipe In the middle is much bigger than our umbrella (not the base’s fault). It keeps swaying side to side and rotate with the wind. We decided to drill a hole where the bolt is to minimize the pivot. Works well for its intended purpose.

Excellent umbrella stand!!I was looking for something to stand alone that would be sturdy enough to hold a heavy 10 foot market umbrella on my deck. This fit the bill perfectly! While we do lower the umbrella in questionable weather, it has proven itself to be dependable during the times we weren't home and the wind got out of hand. It has remained upright and has not disappointed!
