Easy to use.Works well , but quite noisy. Kits good, plus it's simple to use. Could do with a slightly slower speed for the smaller room. Overall , it's much better than a 30 degree bedroom .

Best Value vs Performance on the marketThis genuinly has impressed me, worth every penny. ;This has got to be the best value vs perfomance AC unit on Amazon. ;It’s worth noting the window exhaust mount that it comes with is for sliding door systems only. I’ve been using this with the exhaust hanging out of the window without sealing it off and it works well still.

Good but Needs More FeaturesCools my living room well for 25㎡, but wish there was a humidity sensor. The auto-shutdown when empty is annoying though. Otherwise, the 24h timer is super useful for vacations. Would give if they added smart app control.

Silent Beast!Wow, this thing is whisper-quiet! Even on high fan, my cats didn’t notice it. The 3 modes cover all seasons – used dehumidify last summer and it worked like a charm. The rolling wheels are a must-have for moving between rooms. Love the LED display – easy to read in the dark.

-
Okay for Budget, Not PerfectDoesn’t cool faster than my old 6000BTU unit, but bigger room coverage. The filter gets dirty quickly in humid climates – have to rinse daily. The remote sometimes loses signal, but still manageable. Good value for the price.

My Office Hero!Keeps my home office at 22℃ all day without shocking the wallet. The ventilation mode helps with laptop overheating. The window kit fits perfectly on my sliding glass door. Only complaint? The hose is a bit short for taller windows.

Keeps you coolVery nice size , can be a little noisy , but kept me lovely and cool in the hot weather

Life-Changer for Hot Summers! Finally solved my bedroom overheating issue! The 24h timer lets me set it before leaving for work. The dehumidify mode made my sheets feel crisp. The compact size is a big plus for small apartments.
Posted on
-
Sleep Mode Not PerfectThe temperature changes are too abrupt sometimes – woke up stuffy one night. The workaround? Set it 2℃ lower than desired. Otherwise, the 24h timer is perfect for travel days.

Bachelor’s DreamTiny but mighty! Fits under my desk in 10㎡ studio apartment. The sleep mode’s 1℃ adjustments prevent waking up too cold. The rolling cart is a game-changer for moving it between rooms. Love the compact design!

Easy Setup, Great PerformanceAs a non-tech person, I messed up the window installation twice... until the included video guide saved me. Once set up, it cooled my kitchen/dining area perfectly. The auto-restart after power outage is a thoughtful feature.
Posted on
-
Some Flaws, But UsableThe window kit’s adhesive strips aren’t strong enough – AC tilted 10°. Caused uneven airflow. Fixed it with zip ties. The sleep mode’s temperature curve could be smoother. Still, it’s affordable and functional.

Overheats When FullWorks great when room is under 25㎡, but struggles in my 30㎡ living room. Had to keep it on low constantly. The handle gets hot to touch during heavy use – safety concern? Otherwise, the 24h timer is awesome.
Posted on
-
Not for Large RoomsKept at 20℃ in 28㎡ room – barely made a difference. Better for smaller spaces. The dehumidify mode works well though – reduced mold in bathroom. Would get if sized appropriately.

Average, Nothing ExtraDoes what it says on the tin but lacks uniqueness. The physical buttons are responsive, though. Good for occasional use but not a standout product.
Posted on
-
Filter Maintenance NightmareThe reusable filter gets clogged after 3 days in dusty areas. Rinsing takes forever and doesn’t fully clean. Wish they included disposable filters. Otherwise, the 3-speed fan is great for airflow.
Posted on
-
Fantastic for Remote WorkKeeps my home office at 22℃ all day. The ventilation mode helps with computer heat. The rolling wheels make it easy to move when guests overstay.
Posted on
-
All-Around Winner!Balances power, quiet operation, and smart features perfectly. The auto-shutdown saves energy, and the filtered air improves air quality. The 1-year warranty gives total confidence. 10/10 recommend!
Posted on
-
Decent, Not ExceptionalThe WiFi app crashed twice – had to reset the unit. The sleep mode’s 1℃ increments are overkill for me – prefer larger adjustments. Otherwise, the physical controls are responsive and intuitive.
Posted on
-
Average PerformanceMatches the 9000BTU rating but lacks punch in humid climates. The filter needs weekly washing – time-consuming. Would consider competitors with auto-clean.
Posted on
-
Multipurpose PowerhouseUsed it in 3 rooms this summer: bedroom, guest room, and garage workshop. The ventilation mode cleared out welding fumes amazingly. The 16℃ min setting kept my plants happy during heatwaves.
Posted on
-
Sleep Mode Saves MeThe gradual temperature change in sleep mode is brilliant! No more waking up to frosty mornings. But the LCD screen glows bright at night – might be an issue for light sleepers.
Posted on
-
Okay, but Needs ImprovementThe exhaust hose bends awkwardly when window is closed. Caused some condensation on the wall initially. Fixed it with extra clips though. The 3 modes are sufficient but could use a “quick cool” option.
Posted on
-
Replacement for My Old OneMy 10-year-old 8000BTU died last month – this 9000BTU handles my 25㎡ bedroom better. The filtered air is noticeable cleaner, and the hose storage bag is a nice touch. Definitely worth upgrading!
Posted on
-
Best Purchase of 2024!Cools my 30㎡ open-concept living room effortlessly. The filtered air reduces allergy symptoms. The easy-to-reach controls are great for guests. The sleep mode’s gradual adjustment keeps me cozy all night.

Great air conditioner but it is a little loudGreat portable air conditioner that easily gets the temperature down in 10-15 minutes, setup was nice and easy as was connecting the device to the smart life app.
One of the reviewers said this didn't work with google home, but after some testing I found it does indeed work with google home and the assistant can tell you set temperature and current temperature of the device, it just requires you to link your smart life app to google assistant.
The unit is a little loud, it is around 60-64db at 1 meter away and seems to make no difference in reading if in fan, cooling or drying mode, this isn't a huge deal for me as I can sleep with white noise but others might struggle with it.Posted on

Perfect for My Bedroom! This AC works wonders in my 15㎡ bedroom! The sleep mode is genius – it ramps up/down by 1℃ every hour so I don’t wake up freezing. The remote control is super handy, and the quiet fan kept me asleep even at low setting. Bonus points for the easy window setup – took me 2 minutes!

Smart Features Make It Worth ItFinally an AC that understands me! Set it to auto-schedule via WiFi and forget it. The dehumidify mode made my basement feel brand new.

Noisy on HighLow setting is practically silent, but high fan makes it sound like a small jet engine. Thankfully I mostly use it on medium. The sleep mode’s 2℃ increments are perfect for sensitive sleepers though.

Best thing I have invested in, in my adult lifeSo I purchased the fancy shamncy WiFi version, which in turn is perfect. As only one person can control from the app I believe? Unless I'm just rubbish on the app, so my partner uses that and I use the remote that comes with it (need your own 2x AAAs)
Cools the room in seconds, we planned on taking it upstairs for the night time but damn she heavy. We did it for the first night then never again. Different options. Cool/dry/fan you can select high/low fan and change temp and set timer. You won't regret this purchasePosted on

Great product. This has transformed our indoors this summer, best thing we ever bought as our flat gets overheated and stuffy but this has changed all that! 100% advise buying 1 for yourself, it's quiet and just plug it in and boosh, cool air we love it.

Brilliant ac but so noisyThis summer I was not going to suffer with the heat and bought the ac machine. The aim was to have the machine on in the lounge and then move to bedroom for sleeping. But the noise it makes is so loud. We have to turn the subtitles on when watching the TV because if we increased the volume on the TV the neighbours would rightly moan.
It can't be used in the bedroom due to the noise.
On a plus side within 20minutes the room was cold, and with an hour my OH had put his fleecy pyjamas on.
The adapter they provide for the vent is only suitable for a sliding window or door. We purchased the white material adapter which works OK but is not easy to set up every day as it is stuck down with velcro.Posted on

Fairly basic, but does the job wellI had an an a/c unit I'd been given by a friend about 10 years ago. It only came out of the cupboard for a few days of the year, when the night time heat was 'silly', but I knew that it made a real difference in being able to sleep when a heatwave strikes. It was about twice the size of this model, way heavier and extremely noisy. When I saw this on a flash sale I went for it, as the old a/c had died a death last year. We seem to be getting many more hot and humid days and as I get older my tolerance for them decreases. I also work from home a lot and my house tends to be a bit of a heat trap, so I was looking for an a/c that would make it tolerable, without breaking the bank to buy. Electricity cost to run it is another thing altogether, but we all make compromises and for me, a reasonable nights sleep in high humidity is worth paying a bit more for.
In comparison to the old unit, this is light years away. I find it much easier to operate, personally I don't find it noisy - I tend to sleep with a white noise machine anyway and this provides a similar constant, stable noise that doesn't interrupt my sleep. I ran it for two nights during a recent heatwave and it didn't wake me up with a 'water tank full' alarm in the middle of the night, like the old one would if you forgot to empty it every day. I have since started using the small provided hose to drain the water into a bucket, so the tank will never fill - it's much easier than trying to drain via the little plug at the bottom. It is surprising how much water is collected overnight during the humid weather.
I find the cooling function to be very effective and it made my bedroom more than bearable when it was still 30c outside. At one point on the first night I actually woke up as had the vents directed at me with the cold air blowing on me so I could get to sleep. By about 2am, with just a thin sheet on the bed I had become too cold. I got up to move the unit and nipped to the bathroom at the same time. When I stepped out into the hall the heat hit me. I couldn't quite believe the temperature difference between the two spaces. During the day, if the heat is bothering me when i am working, I run it for a few minutes to bring the temp down and then turn it off until the heat annoys me again, roughly an hour/hour and a half later, so it doesn't need to be on all the time. I find that I can still listen to the radio or TV with it on, but, reading other reviews I suspect I may be more tolerant to background noise than others?
If you don't like ambient light then you might want to drape a cloth over the display at night. There may be a way to turn the display off, but it doesn't bother me, so I haven't looked that up, but the light is quite bright. I keep the unit on 'full' mode, rather than use the sleep function, as I prefer the extra cooling and the noise isn't an issue for me, so maybe that is why the light is on?
The unit design has clean lines and no unnecessary features, so it is smart, with the gently ridged pattern on the top of the unit being the only 'feature' element - the rest is basic and functional. It's not 'beautiful', but it's not 'ugly'. The remote is really pretty basic and won't win any design awards, but I found that once I learned where the buttons are, I can operate it at night without turning on a light and it does what it needs to do. I think if I ever lose it, or it breaks, a replacement will probably be much cheaper than one which is hi-tech and flashy, so I am fine with it. The unit takes a few moments to start after pushing the 'on' button and stays on for a few seconds after you use the remote to turn it off. I suspect this is just a normal procedure, but I did wonder if there was an issue the first time I used it.
I opted for a unit that is probably a bit too powerful (900BTU) for the space I need to cool, but I choose to trade up because I will likely need to use it in bigger rooms at some point and I love the fact it can bring the temp down in smaller rooms very quickly. As it was already very competitively priced and there was a further discount for the flash sale, I effectively got it for the same price as a much less powerful unit from the 'big name' manufacturers.
For my money I am pleased with this unit. For me the overriding requirement was that it was an effective air conditioner, not what it looked like or how prestigious the brand name was. let's face it, COSTWAY sounds like a bargain brand and that's what it is. However, it does what I need it to do without a ton of features that I don't need to jack up the price. If it lasts a few hot summers, it will be worth it. i won't be using it extensively, so I think it will give me good service for a good few years . I am already eyeing the doom-laden media reports of a 14 day scorcher to come in July 2023 and feel content that I bought this on 1 May, as now we are in summer it appears to be selling at almost double what I paid for it.Posted on

Does the job….but…..Ok so it kinda does the job. Because you have to keep a window open for the ‘pipe’ the room doesn’t go below 24c no matter how long you run it. But when it’s hot hot..well it’s still better than roasting.
Other things, the ‘pipe’ to the open window is only long enough to reach a window if you are directly under it. Any furniture etc will have to move.
It’s really quite noisy, thing very loud fan plus a fridge clicking on and off vibrating the floor (and mine has carpet too). Too loud I would say for overnight use. And of course, open window for that pipe means all those dogs barking, birds tweeting, cars etc going past well they are all now much louder too on top.
The water collection tray fills quite fast, and the drain is right down there at the very bottom. Pull the plug out and it will pour water all over.
Final thing, it’s not what I would call light. So portable? Yeh if you mean wheel it on a flat in carpeted floor. Anything else and you are gonna have to lift it.
I am sure the seller might give some answers to these remarks but at the end of the day this is an honest review of the product. Like I say it makes the room cold’er’ and that might be all you care about.Posted on

Nothing to write home about, but it does the jobThe good: it works, it does cool the air.
The bad:
It's loud, roughly the equivalent of an industrial fridge on a hot day, it's a constant noise so it's not too bothersome, you can watch movies with it running.
There is no quiet mode, even with fan only it makes noise.
The buttons are very finnicky to operate
The smart feature is not very smart, you can't link it to Google home, I would have loved to be able to ask Google what's the temperature in the house or to be able to turn it on or off with my voice.
In cooling mode the display shows the temperature you have set instead of the current temperature, that's useless information. In other modes it does show the current temp.Posted on

Q: When the air conditioner is on “ventilation mode” does it still utilise the exhaust hose air path like it does in cooling mode? So the air clears outside not just circulating inside?A: In ventilation mode the room air is circulated, but not cooled. Without going through the exhaust pipe.
